New Releases? (1 Viewer)

.. If you are looking for a consistent schedule on when their products are coming out.. First Legion is not the company your looking for. In some years there has been no new products until 6 to 8 weeks since the last announcement. And that usually is in the early months, around March that this happens. Just expect what ever happens this year to happen again next year, and the next. And find another manufacturer that you can buy and try.. KC, Thomas Gunn, John Jenkins is pretty consistent with their schedule of letting collectors know what is coming. And if there is any reason that that there is a delay, they will let the collectors know. It's really up to us collectors how much we want to wait...

Cheers but if it’s OK with you I think I’ll continue to buy FL.

And guess what, I can do this quicker when I can see what’s coming up next. Come on Matt....

I love FL and I'm not complaining. But since the magazine add was posted last week, I thought those releases were imminent! Can't be long now...

I'm not sure if the add actually reflects the releases? Anyone know if this is true. Are the figures in the add ultimately the next release? I also saw in the new "Toy Soldier Collector" that the new FL Cheyanne Indian Chief is shown.

The magazine is already out.

... Did not mean anything by it. Again it is up to us what we do.. But, just remember what happened this year. And see if it happens again..
The Sobierski figure has me intrigued..

First off, I take it as a compliment in the extreme that you are so looking forward to our new releases that us not announcing them yet has filled you with such vitriol. :smile2: But if what you're looking for in a toy soldier company is a consistent release schedule, you should go collect other figures. We aren't any of those other companies, we are FL and we'll do things our way as we always have. New release announcements aren't far off, but they will only come when I decide that they will come based on what I feel is best for our business. Just remember, one thing that is consistent - we release more figures every year than every other company except K&C. This is no small feat given the quality that we achieve. I dare say that will be true this year as well. So don't focus on when we release, focus on what we release and know that it will be a ton of stuff this year as it is every year. ^&grin So there's some consistency for you!

.. I do really like First Legion products. And haven't stressed about the releases from FL. The past couple of years ,when it comes. It comes. And buy whatever I want. The last thing that a person should stress about is a hobby.. There's so many choices out there.. It is up to the collector, if they stay loyal to one company, or to many..

The fewer releases, the more you expect them. Moreover, a large numbers of new products require an unlimited budget. So there are no complaints about your release schedule. I consider it optimal for my budget :) especially since I use the main part for buying retired figures from Ebay or collectors decided to sell. Only quality is important, not speed of release. As for the time period, please do not forget about Napoleonic, which was and remains an inexhaustible source of inspiration and diversity.

Cheers Matt, knew you’d respond eventually...... now where’s those new releases?

Vitriol - where? Couldn’t find any bitterness in the thread, more like grovelling.

Think you’ll find we’re just ‘eager and excitable’ product purchasers.

This is after all a post about collecting Toy Soldiers on a Toy Soldier forum from a Toy Soldier manufacturer (or Russian style collectibles if you like). What type of posts do you expect?

Keep up the fantastic work, and feed my addiction

Saw this 2day. Dont collect these but wow! What a good looking piece.

That is a nice looking figure, the horse also looks like a much needed new sculpt. :salute:::salute::

PHP:
This is nicely done. An addition to the Samurai series. It could be one of the protagonist against the Takeda Clan

Dear "Mr. First Legion",

I think that none of your customers is filled with vitriol, but I would be happy to be informed a little bit more. By that I mean just some of your own earlier announcements. I never forgot the Acre gate section which would have been a very nice addition. Nobody has the right to request something from you but I would like to read some information from time to time if and when a certain piece will be produced. You wrote in June 2018: "While stunning in their own right, we realize that for these figures to really shine they need a proper backdrop, so look for the start of our modular Wild West town to follow along later this year!" As a Western fan I am looking for the the start of your Wild West town since then and would love to buy these buildings! Is it possible for you to give a short update? Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards
Sam

Fair enough, but as many people know, the best way to get information is to email us directly. I spend less and less time perusing the forums these days but I always quickly respond to emails.

Wild West buildings are indeed in the production pipeline, but I will no longer give out dates because i'm too often proven wrong. But they are indeed coming, in fact we just finished up some artwork on them this very morning. Also, we have four new mounted figures coming over the next 3 months for the series as well. So as a Wild West fan several new items coming.

Also, FYI to all, next time you visit our website, hit refresh on the browser. New top banner graphic with a few more previews. ^&grin

In closing, we are nearly ready to announce our next set of releases but just waiting on final confirmation of ship dates. So it won't be too much longer....

Best,

Mr First Legion

Best,

Mr First Legion

Thank you very much for your quick reply, Mr. First Legion! Collectors are like little children: We are always looking forward to our new gifts! The only difference is that we have to pay for them ourselves. But the anticipation and the impatience are the same like in the old days of our childhood .....

Best regards
Sam

They’re coming boys, they’re coming.....very soonish......At the London Show today, perhaps the new releases will be previewed there (I know they won’t but you can always dream....).

Anyhow we’ve been totally spoilt by tasters these past few months, so I’m still quite calm. May dip my toe into the Samurai range 😁
