Its good to hear the reviews and see photos from the guys who have bought these,
I never really thought I would collect Romans but when ever I visits FL,s website
after checking out the NAPS these are the next range I take a gander at.

FL figures look great (as usual), and the comparison photos are a great idea. Many thanks for posting them, what you see is what you get...

Nice photos. I would like to get two Romans at first probably soon.....but at this time I am working on getting the rest of the Mamluks for Crusades...

Here are some pics. I included a aeroart figure which IMO is to small to match up with FL. Also I'm trying my hand at creating a diorama I'll update it when I'm a little further along.

Got the 1st coat of paint on the fort. My Airbrush klunked out on me so its pretty blotchy right now. I put some grass down and added a hill and plopped a couple pines into the dio. Waiting on some more grass to arrive so I can finish the out skirts of the fort. Once the grass arrives I'll added some downed timbers more trees, bushes, weeds some rocks etc.... Then I'll concentrate on the shoreline of the marsh.

As for the fort I only have room for a barracks or a stable in the fort. Still trying to decide. Once my air brush is back up and running the painting should be pretty smooth then I can add detail and perform some needed modifications (I'm probably gonna have to take a portion of my wall out and redo it because its leaning away from the gate). The earthworks infront of the fort will be last.

This looks fantastic. Two observations, if I may: on the photos, the "blotchiness" of the wall actually looks very nice. I am not sure you want to add a second coat.

There should not be any pines that close to the wall. First, they were all cut down to build the wall and secondly, you would not allow trees that close to the wall/gate to permit hiding.

Do you now also have to build a wooden bridge? ^&grin

Sahara thank you for the new shot.please post your progress as you complete your dio i would be interested and i think some of the other readers will be as well.

Thanks for pointng out the pine next to the wall never really thought of that but it would indeed give the enemy a advantage either to hide or aid in climbing. I haven't decided what route I'm gonna take with the crossing yet (wood, dirt etc....).

That's gonna look incredible when complete {bravo}} your off to a brilliant start . Thanks for sharing with us . Regards Gebhard

Really like the dio.please keep us posted on your progress.mike b.

Well this is where I am so far. I know, I know why so many trees. Well I tried the open field no tree look and it looked a little bland so I gave it a little life. Still have a lot of work to do but this is where I am now.
