New Scramble for Africa Figure Clay Sculpt. (1 Viewer)

it seems to be a 54mm so that is 1/32 scale !!!!!!!
guy:confused:

As far as I can make out the Martini problem has almost been solved. It is still out of scale with the figure itself and the length between the first and second barrel bands is way too short.

This figure doesn't appear to have a collar badge so not sure what regiment it is supposed to be but the hat does remind me of an illustration in the Zulu War book from Osprey by Angus McBride. In that book the illustration shows two 'old sweats' from the 1/24th in patched up uniform, given the duration of their overseas service, with one wearing an old beaten straw hat. This looks more like an enlarged boater or if anyone else remembers the UK Goth band The Mission, it looks like the lead singer, Wayne Hussey, minus the sunglasses!

Given the accoutrements this is 100% a soldier from the British Army and not from one of the volunteer forces.

An agree on the uniform..........The Lt.

I'd personally rather have the Natal Native Horse. As the pith helmets are harder to match up with other manufacturers TG should do the volunteer units such as the Frontier Light Horse or NNH where the slouch hat was worn.
Or TG can swap out the Martini for the Long Lee Enfield make some changes to the uniform flip up the side of the hat and boom, Bushveldt Carbineers. Add some Boers and now you have a new line, Second Anglo Boer War.

I think the Second Boer War would be an ideal conflict in which to dip their toe. I think it proved a relatively popular campaign in some prospective polls on other threads. TGM have stolen a march with their FFL range, so why not try another range not being catered for elsewhere?

I would love to see these produced my great grandfather while Australian served in the british army with Driscolls scouts. :salute::

Let me point out again, these figures are 54mm and NOT 1/30 scale . They are being produced to go with the "Britain "Zulu series.
guy:)

and they do fit well with the other brands. Looking for more TG.:salute::, Robin.
