Hi Guys
Pictures below of a new sculpt for a new series we have been developing here at TG. 'The last request' features a wounded soldier being comforted by a comrade who listens to his dying words. Could be anywhere in Queen Victoria's empire but does anybody want to hazard a guess as to where the action for this scene is taking place?

The Dargai Heights-1897

My guess would be the Indian Subcontinent so The Breaker and I seem to be in the same geographical area. Hopefully, we are correct.

Sudan. The Mahdist War 1881-1899. Artillery, River Boats, Camel Calvary; lots of unique product possibilities.

My guess is its the Khyber pass, with the brave troops of the 3rd Foot and Mouth of "Carry on Up the Khyber" fame or the 2nd Boer War !

Steve

They could be members of the Highland Brigade at the Battle of Magersfontein- Second Boer War. That would be pretty cool if we had two manufacturers doing a Boer War series. I'm still hoping for a Northwest Frontier series.

I too am thinking Second Boer War....especially after intently looking at the rifles....and fooling myself into believing that what I initially thought was 'flash' near the trigger guard is meant to represent a magazine, a Lee-Metford perhaps....or early Lee-Enfield...

...probably over thought this!

Indian Mutiny - lots of highland regiments engaged.

Lots of scope including East India Company.

I'd guess the 1899-1902 South African War.

Brendan

Oh no, another lure for my meagre savings. Better dust of my Nile gun 🚣*♀️ in preparation. In the meantime don’t forget your Zulu and SS waiters{sm4}. Robin.

Northwest Frontier. Gordon Highlabers. Dargai Heights

The sculpt is similar to Bill Horan's vignette The Last Request. A scene from the 2nd Boer War.
Bill Horan's %22The Last Request%22- 2nd Boer War.jpg

I'd say Boer War, but my instinct say North West Frontier ...certainly not Indian Mutiny!

OK second clue as its the second day! These guys are from the Seaforth Highlanders, they fought in Sudan, Afghanistan and South Africa so most of you could actually be correct. Below is a picture of 'The Marksman' who is also from this series. Final picture of the enemy to appear tomorrow!

So today's question is; Do we have any definite answers as to these boys whereabouts now the second figure has made an appearance?

Battle of Atbara 1898. First Seaforth Highlanders and the Queens Own First Cameron Highlanders .

Very nice. It’s gotta be the Boer War.
How about a figure of Harry “The Breaker” Morant- Bushveldt Carbineers?
