Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to introduce myself or not?

I run Black Hat Miniatures a wargaming company and produce a wide variety of modern wargames figures in white metal from 15mm to 28mm and up.

But, I started my interest in wargaming at the age of 12 with the Little Wars rules and Airfix 1/32nd Napoleonics and I have decided to build a collection to let me recreate those games.

To that end I am developing a small range of 54mm toy soldiers that will let me put together two armies for Funny Little Wars rules and which mimic the original Army Red and Army Blue in H G Well's Little Wars.

I'm not sure how much interest these figures will have to collectors of Toy Soldiers but thought it was probably worth mentioning them - there are a couple of painted samples here:

which I painted last night as a test.

They will be supplied unpainted as kits and I hope to have the first lot on sale in a month or so.

Hopefully this might be of some interest to people

Many thanks

Mike Lewis

Good luck with the new range. When I looked on your site I couldn't find any mention of them - maybe I am being dense. Will you be selling them at any shows or wargaming conventions in the UK?

Hi

The first figure

LWR001 British Guardsman £2.50 (unpainted)

is now available through our online shop (under 54mm Toy Soldiers) and we will have the Toy Soldier ranges with us at the various wargames show we attend in the UK.

The next figure will be a guard officer, then Home service infantry and officer plus standard bearers for both.

We are also working on an artillery crew set in shirt sleeves with bare heads.

I am still looking at the possibility of producing a number of limited edition glossy painted sets with 4 privates, an officer and Standard Bearer.

Many thanks

Mike
