I like those new pictures of the Figarti figures, but I think they should re photograph some earlier releases as the pictures don't do them justice.

Oz I am surprised at you, we have a whole bunch of Diorama pics here and on Toy Soldiers Chat...you know that. Nam...Iwo...Jungle.....Modern.... Alex

I'm not refering to your great photos Sarge. I was talking about some of the earlier pics on the Figarti and Treefrog website etc.

For example this pic from the Treefrog site doesn't make me want to rush for my credit card.

Figarti #B4045 - WWII British Tank Troops B
figartitankub1.jpg

I'll most likely get one or similar now they are only $40 and I know how good Figarti tanks are.

But there are many buyers that don't have the time or the knowledge to check the forums for alternative pictures and extra information, they make their choices based on the pictures on the manufacturers and dealers websites.

With due respect to the photographer, what's the point of spending so much time on designing and making these products then use a poor photo to sell them. Sorry, but it has to be said.

I know what you are saying OZ.....They are going to re do the whole Web Site with our stuff. That was pre Battle Scene Productions the Dark ages. Wait until you see the Diorama we have coming up in about two weeks. Nick is in the dungeon putting on the final touches as we speak. They are going to be breaking down George's doors to get the building Nick did in this one. But is is mine all mine HOOOO........HAAAAAA..............I just have to finish it..you will see what I mean. Alex

I understand the need for them hiring you guys as dioramas are great at showing vehicles and figures to their best advantage. But that still doesn't address the MAIN problem, which is the poor photographs of models and figures THAT EXISTS on some MANUFACTURERS and DEALERS websites.

There is a problem with that as far as we are concerned, it takes a while to get the stuff to us, so they have to do their initial photography in China. But I know what you are saying about the photos in general. I am almost always pleasantly suprised when we work with anyones new stuff, it is usually much better than depicted in the initial photos. Dear OZ,

We WILL improve our photography, we have to. Hopefully we can do our products more justice when we launch our re-designed website. We will also continue to work with Alex on his digital photos he sends us.

Cheers OZ:

I was lucky enough to attend the West Coaster and hear Rick and his remarkable Team speak. As he stated, the photography will improve but I wanted to assure you that after seeing the items live both old & new-they are simply innovative and stunning. Combine that with the new/upcoming painting process and they will have a product that any collector would be proud to own.

Internet purchasing has opened up this hobby for me and for many others like me who don't have access to a physical retail store. It (the Internet) does allow for some wonderful opportunities, like having access to entire catalogs and multiple sellers. The down side is that a person can not feel, touch, or eyeball the object they wish to purchase. Nothing can compare to the smell of a new thing (cars or whatevers).

Having purchased many Figarti figures and vehicles, I can tell you that if those of you whom have seen the new releases tell us that they have improved, then by golly they have improved. I too am a very poor photographer. I just can't seem to get the close up feature to work properly on the photos I take. They always seem fuzzy and out of focus. It is an unfortunate part of the Internet that bad photos protray good things in a bad way. I look forward to seeing better photos from Figarti and perhaps Rick should think about reshooting the already released older items.

I really want those new landing assault vehicles.

Good idea on the re-shoot! Will do so for our re-designed website.
