I am new to the forum- my collection includes Timpo- Britains & other 54 mm figures- however my favourites are King & Country. I have in my collection a wooden panzer-wooden sherman tank - a resin bren gun carrier & two wooden warbirds ( Hurricane & typhoon)-all bought at the Chicago show from Andy in the early nineties. Does anyone have any idea of their value today? Thanks for your time & trouble.

A warm welcome to the TF Forum Bermuda. I'm quite sure that the more knowledgable members among us will respond to your questions.

Bermuda,

Welcome to the Forum. Re the K & C wooden vehicles, my guess is around $2,000 each. Several years ago they sold on ebay for that much.

I think the planes are in the $600 range, maybe less. Prior to the re introduction of War Birds, they would have been more but because of the new ones and the vastly improved details, I don't think collectors are paying as much for those anymore. This is a guess but I believe an educated guess.

Bermuda

Welcome aboard !

So what got you collecting Toy Soldiers in the early '90's ??

At least you started off right :D

Are there any good toy soldier shops in Bermuda? I've been there a few times but don't recall coming across any.

Not even a hobby store- all my purchases over the years have been airmailed in( thus adding postage & customs duty to the cost of the figure!) or trips to shows ( thus adding airfare & hotel rates - then custom duty to the cost of the figure!!). Buy a lot on E-bay these days - regards.

Hah, what a familiar story. Its a mirror image of my own experiences, except I don't do e-bay.
Cheers

Welcome aboard Bermuda! You have some real treasures there from the early days. The early wood and resin vehicles are among my favorites, and almost impossible to replace today.
