I have been collecting toy soldiers for years and have examples of most makers. At the moment I concentrate on Suffragettes and participants in the 1916 Easter Rising in Ireland.

A few friends in Australia told me about this site so I thought I'd give it a dig.

Also have quite a decent collection of the Alamo. I've seen a lot of quotes on the site ... So here are two I can think of

Emily Pankhurst said 'better to die standing than to live on your knees"

James Connelly said "we defy you do your worst"

All the best

Welcome to the forum, Joe, or better, gidday, Bruce! ;) Nice to see another of our Australian cousins here in the forum. I look forward to seeing your collection and talking to you here. Do you do any painting, too?

Prost!
