I visited your photo album , If that does come to pass please pm me . I would be interested in that piece from Seil .. Your Andrea kit looks to be well done as well .. If Romans are one of the new lines that Mr Matt has hinted at, It will be decision time for me as well .. I just can't commit to 4 First Legion  Regards Gebhard

The other day Mr. Ken Osen wrote at this forum that these days he didn't collect anything in depth. Food for thought?;)

I've lost count on the total number of figures to be released in the Gordons.... Whats it like 27  Man these are gonna look GREAT in me greedy mitts lad :):) Gebhard

I keep counting 28 of them. That includes the 13 in the original release, then these two:

Then, I see 13 in this image:

So, that makes 28 by my tally. And that is even counting the two-figure as only one (if that makes sense). Am I seeing things or are there actually 28?

It's actually 31 figures...13 in the first release, 18 in the second (counting the vignette as 2 figures). There are 2 more we haven't shown yet which is why you're off by 2...

Hi Noah,
I think it your right its 28  or maybe it would be 29  would you count the two figure wounded set as one or two  surely its a total of 29 different sculpts with two coming as a set on one base . ;) Gebhard

Yeah, it looks like 29 figures on 28 bases. Not to play semantics or anything.:D

Yes, they do look amazing. I have never really collected Naps before, though I have 3 or 4. These fighting Gordons are high on my wish list now, and they, along with the new Union cavalry, Crusaders (which I have also never collected), and 5th British Foot, jump started me into other First Legion Ranges (only 1 in my collection to this point). I am ready to check out a few more and perhaps drastically cut back on other manufacturers to afford them. The Gordons look like they can create quite a dramatic display, and I am anxious to see how they look with the standing figures. I am thinking about ordering the Kings Colors flag bearer to start out the Gordons range.

I went a similar route and bought the standard bearers , piper , officer ,drummer and pikeman as a small display .
I was realy happy with the first grouping so my focus will remain on building a good group of fighting Gordons before adding some of the more static poses [and currasiers] then perhaps dabling in the odd figure from other ranges.

As Dowding said about radar, it [action figures] are absolutely essential.;):D Standing and marching figures are ok but they are not much help is displaying the core of any battle. These lads are well more than welcome.

For me a good firing line of these guys is going to be hard to top as far as
collecting highlights go for the coming year . A few charging highlanders at some point in the future might give them a run for there money mind you :).

Well, I just broke down and ordered 9 FL figures from 4 different FL sets (Continental Militia, Gordons, French 61st, and Crusaders). I have until 5 to live, when my wife comes home!! I am going to go more slowly after this, and I will be selling off a few other items, so watch the classifieds!

They have always been counted seperately since despite the base, they are two distinct figures.;)

Welcome to the family! I hope that by your moniker, that you will be as excited as I will when First Legion releases their offering of the Iron Brigade! I usually buy 2 or three a month, or when I can.
I can highly recommend the cavalry releases. Have a great Christmas and New Year.

You have a great one too. I love the Iron Brigade for sure. I am buying the entire Britains series that started last year and have tons of others. I definitely will buy several of the FL Union cavalry figures and would love to see the Iron Brigade, 1st Minnesota, 69th PA with flagbearers (no one yet has done those two flags), and others. I hope FL does someone holding the horses for the cavalry series, although I think that could set me back a bit of change. I am planning 2 a month, alternating between series so as not to get bored. I really only want 3 or 4 from the Crusader series, but I am going to need a nice big 5th of Foot group to fight against the Continental militia as well. I love WWII and Civil War figures, but I was getting tired of only seeing gray, blue, green, brown, and a few more colorful zouaves in the display cases. The thing is I always loved St Petersburg figures, but I only have one due to costs, and FL offers something at least approaching that at a much greater value.
