This is fantastic news! - I can't think of a better figure maker than John Jenkins for series of Aztecs & Conquistadors.
He's a master of sculpting figures in action, as easily seen in these Aztec warrior proto types.

Was already hard pressed to find display space for the new Celts and Romans......... :rolleyes2:

The sculpts are incredible and the finished painting should be amazing. Hopefully John's factories can handle this level of painting.
John's talents never cease to amaze me, he is the Michaelangelo of the toy soldier world!

First of all, thank you to all the guys who are taking pictures of Chicago for those of us who are less fortunate! Secondly, this is absolutely awesome. Aztecs are one of my grail toy soldier lines, and one that I never thought would happen. I could not have asked for a better firm to produce these. Bring 'em on!

John will be making a New Workd or Aztecs range. There are models in the Sierra room of Cortes, Columbus and one other figure. I will head over there to take photos.

Are there any photos of Cortez or other Spanish Conquistador figures to fight these fantastic looking Aztecs?

Aeroart made a few Aztecs back in the day but I could never get real excited about them. John's sculpts look fantastic though. So I'm on wait and see status about this one. "History of the Conquest of Mexico" by William Prescott is must reading. One the best and most readable histories of any military campaign.

Not as of yet. I was initially thrown by the Treasure Hunt questions so I assumed there was a Cortes prototype in Chicago, which there wasn't. Apologies for any confusion.
