Well with the holiday boxes all put away and the ringing in of a new year means a West Coaster show can't be to far behind, the main show is March 10th this year and the week leading up to it for room trading, anyway anyone on the forum going this year??...Sammy

Sammy mate,
Would love to be there cobber if your paying.^&grin^&grin But I have earmarked the Texas and London Shows as my ventures from the Land of OZ for 2013. They are only two weeks apart so it makes it easy on the travel budget. If you are "Going to Texas" I would very much like to catch up.
Cheers Howard

Thats OK Howard, we will be sure to get you some of our "Texas Tequila" :wink2:

I have attended every year since 1993 and this year will be no exception. I paid for my two show tables a year ago and will be in room 608 starting on Friday for room trading. I always moan and complain about all the hours of packing, unpacking, and setting up involved, but I keep doing it every year, so I must subconciously like it.

Hi Howard,

I'll pay...(drinks only):) to bad about the West Coaster, but with London/Texas you'll have your hands full with soldiers and forum friends as well, anyway if something does change maybe I'll see you at one of the other shows...Sammy

I have bought my table for March.
My room will be booked on Wednesday.
To make better advantage of Room Trading,
I will arrive Thursday night.
Deciding what to bring is in my mind.

Howard:

We will see you in Texas then (I am also going to try and get the wife to come down with me or, at the very least have her drop me off so I can throw back a few), and raise a toast to you at the Westcoaster.

Best,
Jason

Hurraayyy!!!!!!!! just realized that the West Coaster show is only about 4 weeks away!!! time to start thinking of a wish list, or a buy list:) hope to see some of the forum fellows there as well...Sammy

Curisoty about all the New Figures to be available
has my imagination.
King & Country, Figarti, TSSD, et al show their
new stuff in dioramas each year.
Their rooms also have amazing displays.

It really is a great show, the days before are filled with room trading etc, and the show itself is incredible.

Agreed! I've gone to the show for about twenty years and have made a lot of friends there. Even got a Heco seaplane there last year! Unfortunately, my wife has made other plans for us this year, so I'll not make it. Sob! But don't miss it!

Al-

I missed it last year because I had to be in DC so I know the feeling. It sounds kind of strange, but missing it last year has made the excitement for this year build even more!

I will be attending my first West Coaster this year all the way from New Zealand ( ok I'm in SF on business and will pop up to LA). Hoping to meet some of you who I have been talking with on this forum. Not having been to one before I assume anyone (non exhibitor) can participate in the room sale/trade before the Sunday?

Hi Mark,

Glad to hear that you will be attending the show this year for the first time. Yes, room trading which takes place, for the most part on Friday and Saturday, is open to all comers. We are always assigned rooms on the sixth and seventh floors of the Marriott; there are usually about 50 or so rooms open for room trading. If you fly into John Wayne airport in Orange County, there is a free Marriott shuttle to and from the hotel which is less than one mile away. The Marriott's show room rate is $115. I look forward to meeting you.

Mike

See you all out there, been 3 years since my last visit. I always enjoying seeing the West Coast gang, especially in the warm climes of L.A. Leaving Chicago in March is always a pleasure. I will have my new book on Jones Toy Soldiers for sale and Show Posters and post cards to give away advertising the Chicago Toy Soldier Show on Sept. 22, 2013. See you soon. Don Pielin

Wow I am getting old. It will be my 15th Year attending!

Hope to see you all at the show, It is my favorite show of the year!

If you need anything brought let me know ASAP. I will be shipping later this week.

If anybody who is attending could keep an eye out for Heco Tinplate Models or CJB Models for me, it would be most appreciated.
