Thanks George, really kind of you. This future holiday is just getting better and better!

Rob

Rob,
My pleasure; try to time your trip around OTSN and when I come to pick you up to do the grand tour of Boston, we'll tell your wife "We're going out quick first for a pack of cigarettes"..........and you and I will return in a week.......;)

Sounds like a plan George,I'll start smoking today!:D

Yes the falls and Montreal are on the list if we choose this holiday, sounds great.

Rob

If you go to Niagara Falls, that is only a short 2 hour drive from Toronto and I can meet you there.

If you are going to NY, make sure you are not there during the OTSN or everyone will be in Chicago.

Can I ask another question of my New york friends. My better half is a big fan of films and musicals from the 'Golden age' of Hollywood. One of her faves is 'The Clock' starring Judy Garland and featuring the clock at Grand central station, can anyone tell me if this clock is still there above the main staircase?.

Rob

Is this what you're talking about?

"Main Concourse - The most widely recognizable train terminal room in the world, with its famed Sky Ceiling, is the best location to orient yourself. You cannot miss the center information booth that has the four-face brass clock on top."

Well I may be able to swing it with the wife for one day,but if not it would great to meet up anyway Brad.At the moment we are just going through Options, its pretty exciting as the holiday is a gift which is wonderful, now we just have to decide where to go.

Rob

We could all together at Louis' or maybe Larry's restaurant (if he's game).

Rob,

Always a pleasure to meet a fellow collector/addict. Would be happy to extend an invitation to you and your wife to have a romantic dinner at my establishment. I will leave it up to you if you want any of these other Treefrog characters crashing your soiree:D

All the best,
Lawrence

september is about 70F to 80F
october is usually 60F to 70F with a few hot days at the beginning of october.
at least that's how it is in NY.

NYC in September can be really hot in a "stop the summer already" kind of way but can also be very comfortable. Even in October, there are often very warm days.

New Hampshire is a bit different. Even in July and August, I pack light sweaters if I'm going to be in the mountains. It can drop to the 50's.

The White Mountains region of New Hampshire is absolutely spectacular. You have to go visit Mount Washington where they have a museum of vehicles used to taxi people to the top of the mountain since it was opened to tourists. Great vintage American cars including a rare Pierce Arrow and old horse drawn wagons.

Driving the greenways in the park lands is just incredible. I almost moved up there.
