New Zealand Wars Dioramas (1 Viewer)

Absolutely stunning mate.

Nigel recreation of the NZ landscape and iron sand beaches is a particular stand-out for me.

Brilliant, thanks for sharing.

Incredible work and obviously a labor of love. Even more amazing is the variety of figures that depicts NZ history when I guess the subject is not that commercial.

I hope he gets some Government grants for keeping NZ history alive.

I think they are 1/56 (28mm) scale but I'm not sure.

Brett, sadly 'Colonisation' is a dirty word here in NZ currently under 'Jacindees' regime so therefore the museum is highly unlikely to receive a cent under this Govt.

Incredibly as it sounds New Zealand's early history is not taught in our main-stream schools and most students have little idea of the countries roots.

To be fair the early Maori/European NZ Wars are ripe for the picking in terms of TS.......imagine a display of a Maori war party preforming a Haka in-front of Colonial troops.

'Black sand' beaches are the norm along New Zealand's west coast and get hot as hell to navigate during the summer. No Kiwi goes bare-foot to a west coast beach in the summer....{sm2}^&grin

This man's eye for detail is simply amazing. I'm pretty sure he probably looked at photos from the period but still be able to recreate everything so exact is incredible.

No unfortunately mate. Its located on the Kapiti coast here in NZ which is on the bottom of the North Island on the west coast and a good 8hrs drive from me here in Auckland. Would be very keen to visit it though.

Cheers Toddy
