Hi,

I have to say you all seem like a great band of men here, i have lurked alot the past few weeks as i have only just started my K&C collection. Im from england and i have collected 1/6th models for the last 5 years, mostly hot toys. I have tried to collect k&c D-Day and stick to just one specific area, but i have ordered most of the new Raf Series and the new hawker plane.I also managed to pick up AK17 (checkpoint) for a reasonable price, so i ordered some more africa korp models to go with it. I think im well and truelly hooked now and the market garden series are getting very tempting.

i look forward to joining in on some threads and thats pretty much it about me.

cheers

Welcome aboard ! I've also come over from the 6th Scale world (mainly DML/DiD). Great hobby, great group.
Leave your wallet at the door.....lol

You sound as bad as Rob and it didn't take you long to get addicted.:D
I have tried to limit myself to a few of the WW2 ranges, but even that is almost impossible.

Welcome to the Forum.

Its terrible im running out of places to hide my k&c, my girlfriend hasnt noticed some of the boxes i have been smuggling into our house from my parents. So far i have a shelf which she kindly desigated just for my K&C, i have taken over the cuboard under the stairs and the top shelf in our wardrobe haha. Its getting to the point where all the multiples of my hot toys figures i have will be getting sold off to make space and extra £££ for my new K&C addiction.

I bought the new landing craft and when i realised they had released another i bought that also, thats when i realised i first had a problem haha. I just made another order with my DEALER for the atlantic wall bunker and defenders, then i hear something about another being released. Does anyone have any details on this?

Im going to take the plunge on the market garden sets, they really are cool. i missed the jeep with the trailer though, i would have really liked one of those.

Im off to scope out some new hiding places, it might be time to hint about an extention.

Welcome onboard Flynn! Looks like you need to start pushing the walls of your place:D. Enjoy the addiction, this one is not lethal...:)

Flynn it sounds like you have got a terrible addiction, don't worry though there are many like minded folk here. I'm sure you may also learn new ways to smuggle sets into your house, various credit card scams and other inventive schemes to help expand your collection

Welcome aboard! Strange I started my 1/6th hobby after getting into K&C, also HT! The K&C MG range along with the Napoleonics CG range got me into this particular hobby, but then along came some eye-catching figs from other ranges I thought I wouldn't touch! With limited space and budget, all about the discipline of getting what you really like!:)

I too collected the 1/6th scale (dragon, hot toys etc.) my most favorite is the Wittman/ Wolf set. And found this great hobby a little more than a year ago. And enjoying every part of this addiction;). Welcome to this forum, you will get a lot of information ,most of them great information, blended with a little bad information. But eventually you will find a group of people that you can trust, on the information they give. HAPPY COLLECTING!!:)

Welcome Flynn. Looks like you are really getting into some of the wwll sets. I enjoy the Normandy, Bulge and AK sets. Leadmen

Hello Flynn,
I too am a new man in the ranks, so welcome aboard. Been collecting K&C for only a year-mostly Market Garden. This hobby is a blessing and a curse (to me anyway). The figures are just great but there are so many of them you can't keep up. Don't feel let down by missing out on the jeep and trailer-check out eBay every so often and go to the local shops-they may surprise you. Have any favorite pieces?

wow! Thanks for such a great welcome guys, everyone seems to show a great passion on this board.

Pegasus44 thanks for the info, i will try my best to keep an eye out on ebay for the mg02. But if anyone sees it first please give me a heads up. mg02 jeep and trailer has to be my next mission to find, i recently bought DD53 Commando Gun Group from tom gunn and i got to say i really like this set. I just need the lovat set now to keep them company storming the beach on my landing craft. I think overall they are my favorite pieces and also my africa korp checkpoint set, i just want the ak opel blitz truck and the seated rifle men to go with it. I also managed to pick up a set of 101st airborne with deployed chutes, they are great and i hope we get some british and fj the same way.

Valhalla i was thinking of going to the Birmingham show next Sunday, i joined a facebook group and tried asking a few members about it but they did not get back to me. What is it like, have you been before? If it is worth the two hour drive i might turn up, even better i might bribe my girlfriend to drive haha. I might find the jeep and the lovat command set, Do they have stalls with models forsale or is it just a preview show?

cheers
