Here she is!^&grin

Such a heavy piece!{eek3}{eek3}{eek3}

This gun was placed in position in the woodland area near Eindhoven to protect the Son Bridge from being bombed by allied aircraft but it had to be moved rapidly once the allied tanks started rolling across that single road the Germans moved it into the town at the other side of the bridge. It was in a good position to defend the bridge but once the German commanders decided to fall back due to the rapid advance of the allies it was decided that this piece would take to long to prepare to repositon and so it was left in position as it was in an area which could cover the Eindhoven cross roads. The RAF were bombing the area across the bridge where the 88mm had been and the next village along so the 88mm had been engaging Bombers from its position, but when the British infantry moved into Eindhoven they charged through the town, killed the crew and disabled the gun...

Thanks man!^&grin

I know some collectors might see this and think what a waste of a great piece using it as a disabled piece with no crew but I like it!^&grin

Anything MG is always good to see and a story to go with it, is even better Scott. Well done. Robin.
