Tony,
Could you please include the stuff you've been getting in HK for your SOHK display in your next series of K&C UK TV.
Sounds interesting.

spoke to my dad yesterday and the showroom is about a week away from final construction.......that then laves second fit though of finifh painting and then carpets and any other soft furnishing.

we will then be planning out the displays and once we have the spaces laid out we can do each of the enhancing elements above on the wall. it is then that I will be able to shnow them off for the camera. so it will be acoupke of weeks yet.

great fun though collecting all the items from everywhere.

one of our UK customers has just lent us two origional pistols from the ACW for our ACW display.......which is great.

Sounds like it'll be worth the wait to see the displays Tony. I won't be back in HK until 28th December so a wait of 2/3 weeks to see the displays is no hardship. I'm constantly keeping an eye out for anything suitable I can use for displays here in Dalian but hobby shops in particular are like hens teeth and I've mostly come up with a great big blank so far.
Was it the Mong Kok night market where you obtained the items for your SOHK display?

Cheers

yeah Temple Street market, I got a couple of those copy hand painted oil paintings that only the chinese can mass produce and make look like the first one.

I bought two budda pictures as well which were for sale at the giant budda for £500 in the market for £20!! so happy happy happy.

just need to pick up a couple of other bits and bobs on the look out for an old bird cage and some lanterns then that's the SoOHK scene done.

Yeah, I'm going to pick up some of those paintings and add them to our display as well. We picked up some miniature Chinese style tables the other day that look really cool inside our SOHK display cabinet and raise the figures up to give them more prominence. Its these small touches that really make a display come alive.
Well, I'm sure you'll have a great time at the London show. Please pass on my best regards to the forum guys when you're buying them copious drinks at the bar. Its a shame I can't make it this year cos of work committments but I'm making plans to attend next year along with my "Nearest and Dearest". OMG, the UK won't know whats hit it when she turns up. Maybe I can sell HER at the show....:D:D:D
