Neil,

You are right-thanks! I wonder why the price point is $20 different from the $169 version?

Alex :salute::

Extra aerial ? Look like it a Wittmann tank again^&confuse

I looked at the pictures of the tank again and it looks more weathered, has darker camouflage tones, and the zimmerit paste is more pronounced. A very nice looking Tiger I tank by Figarti!

I am OK with charging an additional $20 for the weathering. But I just do not know why a tank with the number 222 would be a Befehlspanzer version with three antennas? I really would like to like this model ....

The tiger looks really good. Does it have photo etched parts? Looks like it does.

As one who purchased the 007 Wittman Tiger, I must say I'm a little annoyed with Figarti. The 222 is the same exact tank just with what appears to be a better paint job and more weathering. I kind of feel Figarti is like: "Ha ha, we tricked you into buying the cheaper Wittman tank, now here's the better looking one."

They could have at least chosen a different camo scheme. Maybe something from the Eastern Front in summer.

Both tanks look excellent. I may get the Su100 since I need more Soviet armors.

The Wittman tank was designed to be more affordable for collectors. It's not Figarti's way to trick collectors.

Look just like the 1/16 FOV Wittmann tank I had ^&cool

I don't think they meant to trick us....But they are confusing me a bit^&confuse^&confuse.....It makes little or no sense.....Very haphazard scheduled releases?????.....But then TIGER TANKS are always welcome and popular^&grin^&grin.....Well Done Figarti.:salute::.......I do agree with you that it would have been better to create something just a little different for Eastern Front in summer.....I also think it would be better to make a series of tanks say 2 to 3 tanks with different turret numbers for use in one battle scene diorama. It would lend to better use of multiple tanks for larger diorama builders. Otherwise there is no cohesive use of these models.

Agreed....I was just thinking the same thing the other day

Figarti is nailing it with these Tigers, it would be hard to argue that they are not the best made at a great price. IMO you cant beat individual treads,
....AND....they fit great with FL

But this is exactly what I am going to do.....That is why I had Figarti make me decal sets so I can do that myself.

The FL figures and Figarti armor is an unbeatable combo.....I am looking to do about 4 Tigers working with the FL Waffen SS

I have not looked into it yet..

Were the Germans using 4 Tank platoons?

I'd say it wasn't planed that way for Figarti. They made 500 of the Wittmann's 007 Tiger and they can't sell that many. So these new camo versions ( 222 Wittmann and Winter 200 ) are probably repaints of the 007 along with some minor improvements. Cheaper prices and more choices works for me . . . :D

The problem with that is that there were really very few Tiger I Befehlspanzer. Only independent units had those to my knowledge. Again, tactical number "222" is the second Tiger of the second Zug of the second Kompanie - not a Befehlspanzer.

I believe Tigers "007" and "222" can be displayed together as arguably they are from the same unit operating in the same environment in Normandy.

Yes. In 1944 for Normandy, Schwere SS-Panzerabteilung 101 was organized with 4 Tigers per Zug/platoon.

Panzer IV and Panther Zugs consisted of 5 tanks.

An excellent quick reference book is Tigers in Combat I & II. Has turret numbers for all the Tiger units.

Thanks my man !
