It reminds me of collectors at shows who wait to the end of a show for some bargains, with the risk being that what they wanted might be gone.

I love those guys, they usually carry around a folding chair to bash me over the head with for a better price......:rolleyes2:

The trade rumor mill is flying here in Boston; Amendola and a third round pick to the Iggles for DeSean Jackson.................{eek3}

Please Lord, make this happen.........Jackson on the left, Gronk at TE, LeFell on the right, Edelman in the slot, Ridley in the backfield....................Revis on one side, Browner on the other, Mayo, Hightower, Collins roaming the middle of the field looking to take heads off.................

Wow.

Talk about GFIN mode.

DeSean Jackson has been one of my favorite players ever since he was at Cal. He would be a great addition to the Pats and help them get to their Superbowl date with my Niners.

^&grin

The Jets have cut Sanchez, their QB of the future when they drafted him in 2009.

They gave up on him last year and drafted Gino Smith, who's their new QB of the future.

Wait; BREAKING NEWS......................The NY Jets have just signed Michael Vick.

What!?!?!?!?

So, is Smith not the QB of the future, the guy who replaced the QB of the future?

The first PIC 6 Smith throws, the crowd will be screaming for Vick.

Good Lord, this franchise really is the gift that keeps on giving, 44 years and counting.

There is no player in the NFL that I despise more than Michael Vick.

I would rather go 0-16 for ten years than see him play for my team.

It seems that Dan Snyder has once again opened his wallet and signed a star player that couldn't fit in on his former team. DeSean Jackson has signed a 3 year, $24 million deal with the Redskins. I don't know anything about Jackson other than he is supposed to be good. Will he help the Redskins or is he going to be a problem child? Any opinions out there in football land? ^&confuse -- Al

He's very fast and talented but is a bit of a hot dog. Not an Eagles fan but I don't think he likes to get hit as he's not that big. I think there were rumors that he's involved with some gang activity and I think this is why they let him go.

Not sure why the Jets (or 49ers) passed on him as they could have used him but they're cheap so maybe that explains it. Perhaps his reputation scared them.

If he can cut out his showmanship, he's a good pickup.

Bay Area rumblings say that the Niners were very interested and had the Redskins not signed him there was a very good chance that they would make him an offer for 2 years with the selling point being he would have the chance to play with Boldin and Crabtree which could lead to a Super Bowl ring. He also play at Cal which made the Bay Area ties pretty strong. I would have liked to have had him sign with my Niners but oh well.

I heard some reports that he's not a good locker room guy, so his talent is overshadowed by his team drama.

But, as usual, I heard that from someone who is reporting what he got for a private conversation with someone who allegedly overheard someone say something to someone. I always wonder what qualifies as 'insider's say...'

well my Ravens caught a break to start the season, first 3 of 4 at home, opener at home vs. Bengals and follow it up with those evil Steelers coming to B-more for a Thursday nite game!!! not to shabby, a tough middle schedule with away games in New Orleans, Pittsburgh, but at least we finish at home with the Browns instead of the Bengals for a change...Sammy

Soapbox time:

I truly wish the Niners would cut ties with Aldon Smith. He plead guilty to weapons charges and a DUI today. Enough is enough. I would rather lose every game than win the Superbowl with this guy on the roster.

Just heard of the passing of Chuck Noll.

One of the greatest coaches of all time, inherited a sad sack tomato can of a franchise that had never won a playoff game and turned them into champions, four super bowl titles in six years, his teams were loaded with not only all pros but hall of famers, all of this prior to free agency, they built through the draft and coaching.

He coached with a quiet dignity and as the Rooney family said, he was the best thing that happened to them since they boarded the boat from Ireland to the US.

RIP Chuck.
