I've just seen some news from Nick. He has two new sets being sculpted but doesn't say which ones, though they are from the same conflict, on opposite sides.

He says costs have trippled from when he started which is making it expensive. He's musing as to whether he will use Kick-starter or something similar to get it going.

I'd be inclined to tip in some money but probably only if it was a set I was actually interested in. What are other's thoughts on this? (the full story is on his web page of course)

With two sets planned, it seems likely to be a new time period. A few people are doing Greeks, so probably not ancient. I'd 'narrow' it down to Rev War, Crusades or WW1. Or Vietnam. Or Afghanistan post Sep11. Hmmm.....

Nick's mentioned the expense. I wonder what it would be these days to do a set of Nick's standard? $25,000 US per set?

How much input from 'investors' to make it a goer?

I agree that it would depend on the sets. I think the world of Nick & Deanna and appreciate all the work they have done thru the years. I,ve also bought most of their products so it's not just lip service. I have been recently selling off all my plastic Civil War, Alamo, Rev. War as I have lost interest in those periods. To be honest if the two new sets were from those periods or a period I have no interest in then no I wouldn't contribute. Now if it was VietNam, any thing WW1 or WW2 more than likely yes I would.
The only other thing is that I wouldn't expect these new sets to hit the market until OTSN 2016, that's a long way off.
As for $25000 a set, I think it's considerably more.
