No Carriers in the RN? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking at it from the perspective of the money they save on spending for the carriers they now realign, shift, etc towards satellites- I dunno- I was reaching perhaps

What color ink do you use for an investment that your income won't pay for ? I asked my Senator the same question and she never responded.

Apparently the plan to scrap the carriers and Harriers was put forward by Neville Chamberlain.

Supposedly the one carrier they will build will be able to fly the F-35. But England will be without an operational carrier for several years.

Checking the list of aircraft carriers shows very few countries have even one and the US with 12 has more than the rest of the world combined.

I have a hard time believing that any of those Somali pirates were allowed to surrender. -- Al

If they can't afford to put planes on their carriers how could they afford to weapons satellites ? Perhaps it is time to mine the English Chanel ?
Too late to mine the channel. That tunnel allows all sorts of riff-raff into GB now.:rolleyes2: -- Al

It's OK, we built a 2" bath plug in to the wall. In the event of an emergency, or imminent invasion, the Director of the Chunnel Plug, Harold Pips-Williams, is authorised to pull said plug and flood the tunnel. :wink2:

So the Chunnel is basically a big water closet, threaten an invasion - Harold flushes and France floods. Bloody brilliant , Sir Thomas Crapper would be proud!:salute::
