First Legion is extremely pleased to present another variant of our Tiger Tank for the battle of Normandy, set NOR069 Tiger I "123", again from the 101st Heavy Panzer Battalion, but this time from the 1st Company. The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E mounted the very high powered 8.8cm KwK 36 main armament which had a flat trajectory owing to the high muzzle velocity making it extremely accurate at very long ranges. With 100mm of frontal armor it was difficult for allied guns to penetrate. This tank remained in production until August 1944 when it was replaced by the Tiger II. Given its combat history, the "Tiger" is one of the most iconic tanks of the second world war.

The second variant of the Tiger is meant to complement the first in multi-tank displays. As such, it shares the same basic coloring and camo pattern, however the painting on it is totally unique in that the application of the pattern is completely new and different than the previous NOR068 Tiger. So it is not simply a new Turret Number, but is an entirely new painted vehicle that used a 2nd painted master as the basis for it. It features battle damaged fenders and additional stowage as well. Further, this model is a First Legion Exclusive, only available directly from First Legion. In our entire history, this is the least expensive "tank" we've ever produced, but it is still the same incredibly high quality model with superb detailing that you've come to expect from us!

After much disappointment that I couldn't get the first Normandy Tiger who would have thought the First Legion would release another version and not only does it look even better but the BEST PRICE it has announced in all its past AFV's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm all in on this one, thanks to Matt, Constantine and all involved for working on lowering a price point on a very nice tank, to be able to buy quality these days at a reasonable price makes this hobby a little easier to enjoy.

The camouflage pattern is very nice on this variation IMO. The fuel drum and jerry cans add interest. When will figures be available?

Awesome that you are getting this Sammy! Congrats!

Wow, what a great surprise. Just started collecting First Legion WWII, and this offer comes along. Certainly helps take the sting out of expanding one's collecting interests on a seemingly ever shrinking budget. - Placed an order last night.
