My diorama will eventually be a Norman Warlord Tower being attacked. This will be a long term project that will take many months as their will be a lot of detail involved. The tower is made of 150mm plastic plumbing pipe and will have a cut away section to view 3 different levels and the roof. There will be a wall section that can go back in to cover the cut away section when needed.The levels will be made of plaster coated foam supported by timber beams. I hope to have a working drawbridge and the tower will be surrounded by water. The outside walls will be blocks glued on which will be a labour of love and time consuming. So you can see there will be a lot of work involved but it could be something special. With other projects going on at the same time the tower will not be fulltime and i will post photos as i progress. Greg.

Something to look forward to, certainly a fun project. Mind you I think the pyramids were built quicker, but that was just a great big pile of stones after all. Your tower will be much better designed I am sure.^&grin Robin.

Don't know what you are talking about Mike please explain. Robin I think you are being sarcastic. No body built as good as the ancients if I can get something to line up reasonably,it will be good. It reminds me about a photo I saw recently on the internet of some modern day bridge builders with the bridge coming together in the middle. They were looking quite dismayed at the couple of feet difference in height. The diorama should be ok as long as it is pleasing to the eye. Regards Greg.

I didn't know about that product Mike. Looks like I will be doing it the hard way. No the product I have is just buiding bricks sold on the net. I will need a hell of a lot though to complete the projects. That information is very useful though and i might get a few ideas from that. Might look into getting some of that product as well. Thanks. Regards Greg.

You've certainly given yourself one long time project with gluing the stones on individually Greg. Hats off to you for having the patience :salute::

Look forward to seeing the occasional progress photo.

Steve

Let's just say I think I will have the kit Huey built that I should receive this week in the post before a tenth of the tower is built. I did have a good go today and was pleased with what I did. I'm excited with the new Long Tan figures that are now in my care and will have to come up with some setting for them. Apart from those there are quite a few dioramas that need a figure or to to complete Steve and a question of funds. I hope your well and keeping yourself occupied. Regards Greg.

Thanks Greg.

Yes doing well as I trust you are also.

I'm just taking time away from posting dioramas as other things outside the hobby rudely intrude into the fun alas.

My usual K&C dealer has yet to list the Long Tan set No.1, so I've gone ahead and made my first orders with K&C Hong Kong.

Steve

New photos. The project is going ok. Going to concentrate on the drawbridge and inside levels from now and then finish the outside walls and landscaping. Greg.

Some more work done on diorama. The outside walls plastered with Plastic Bond bog to give a textured look of stone. Will be ready to attach chains of drawbridge after the brick work is completed. Still a lot to go. Greg.

Your Tower is coming on in leaps and bounds Greg. At this rate you'll be unveiling the completed project around Christmas.

Looking good mate. :salute::

Steve

Changed the diorama to Saxon figures, mainly as I have more to spare and this is complete. Saxon patrol is ambushed by northern raiders and they fight their way back to the safety of the tower and the draw bridge is raised. Greg.
