Hi guys,

Do any of you have any images of the SP051 Normandy Garage? I heard mixed views on the piece due to its triangular shape and large entrance/door. I was wondering what those of you who own it feel about the building.

I have always liked the piece myself. Robin.

I have it and I don't like it it's a very awkwardly made piece which feels too big. The triangular shape is really annoying for trying to fit into dioramas.

Well obviously I disagree...It was made to work with other buildings released at that time and has appeared in several great looking dioramas ...With a little imagination and a degree of creativity it can help to create some great little scenes and displays.

Well yeah but you're biased. 😉

To be honest I'd love to own the Normandy Garage and quite envious of those lucky enough to have it in their collection.

I've seen it up close in Brett's store in Brisbane surrounding by K&C figures and vehicles and it looks amazing, especially surrounded by some of their other buildings.

The shape and angle of the garage would make it a great stand alone display given some creative thought and a bit of fun.:salute::

I've been looking at it for some time and already have the petrol pumps.

For those of you who own it, are the signs decals or printed on the structure?

The signs are slightly raised off the surface.

Here is a shot of the front.

Thanks Duke; appreciate the info.
Great shot - looking good!

Many thanks Duke and Rob for posting those pix of the ‘Normandy Garage’...AS the pictures prove and Gordon’s artistry emphasises once more...A little creativity and a bit of hard work equals a whole lot of fun and display possibilities!
Thankyou Guys!
And greetings also from London...just arrived from strike-torn Paris...
Andy.

I have all the European building by K & C and this is one of my favourite ones, works great with figures, the 'flat' building are also great but the pavements are all different.

I have all the Desert ones as well except for the Mosque, which i always on the lookout for at a reasonable price.

Would like some more buildings, Battle of the Bulge related would be great, but any European, especially if it was a corner design.

I always liked that shelter for the winter tank riders from years ago. Was it K&c or JG?

Either way I never managed to get hold of it.

Small buildings designed for specific figures like this would be most welcome.

Good to know, appreciate the thought.

Sounds cool but I'm not familiar with this one.
