NY Toy Soldier Symposium (2 Viewers)

That is a great looking painting by David Wright.I wish somebody would do this in miniature.

Wait until you see this Jenkins Canoe coming out ! Just as powerful as Combat's painting ! ;)

I like the first two canoe sets so I'll have to check it out.Any idea when we will see it?

I believe John told me it would be out in the April - May timeframe.

It should be out very soon. :)

Marco

He talked about doing more releases with BM range - so I believe we can count on this range for awhile.

He has some great POA releases coming out - which are coming out very soon.

The War of 1812 will stay up in the North (Canada - Great Lakes Area) and he will not do any figures around the Battle of New Orleans ! He has some exciting British Releases with 1812 coming out soon.

Those are a few remarks that I remember.

Ron

These are excerpts from emails John sent me yesterday and today,

"Regarding more 44th Regiment Line infantry.
It was the main request from everyone at the New York Symposium and at the Westcoaster show to have more line infantry, just as you have requested.
I have not any plans in the works to produce any more.... but I guess I will now have to reconsider? It still surprises me how popular this series has become."

When I asked him if this was discreet private information that he might not want me to share at this point, he replied in another email,

"you are welcome to mention that the main request during my US trip, was for more British Line for the 44th at Monongahela, and that i am giving it serious consideration."

Obviously this edition is popular and people want more of it.

Michael

More line infantry for the 44th is great news. It is the one thing missing in this series (I missed BM01 thru 03). I will be in line for these. -- lancer

POA could really take off soon. With BOS ending this year and the Monongahela line more or less ending, we may see a lot of releases here. I'm torn on the Monongahela line continuing. It's my favorite and there are a couple of releases that I would still like to see - like the father/son Halket figures and Royal Navy seaman, but it would also be nice to know that a line is complete before moving on to others. Something new like Ticonderoga would be welcome. With Jacobites, 1812, POA, BOS, Monongahela, St. Francis all in the works - the hardy band of JJ collectors may be reaching the max point.

It sounds like from talking with John Jenkins - that the BM range is going to be with us for a long while - he has more ideas and many releases are coming up in the months to come.

I really enjoy this BM series - especially since I am only doing the BM & 1812 - with a little of St. Francis.

Can't wait for that new canoe ! :D
