October 2021 Figure Release (1 Viewer)

Wow! Lots of great items coming from Thomas Gunn this month… The Hetzer and Korean War figures are definite “musts” for me. I’ll be down for the camouflage Hetzer when that eventually becomes available. Glad to see the Hetzer has been modified to include the open commander’s hatch and figure!

I agree and i was told from T Gunn it is totally new mould, not reusing the old mould from many years ago for the previous Hetzer. It will be built similar in the same style/way the Panzer IIIs and IVs have been, so way more accurate that previous versions, crisper in detail and lighter [in weight] than the older Hetzer's. The 3/4 figure also looks great, i was watching the Chieftain's video on YouTube, see below, not a vehicle i would have liked to be in!

Hoping by now to see the re-release of the small bamboo hut touted some months back, perhaps next month TG ? I will consider the Egyptian mat, but just my preference, would have liked it a fraction smaller. Awaiting also the Japanese casualties, they look good. The Winter terrain board could be another winner for you, very useful. Also holding out for the snake charmer, which promises to be nice. Lots of money coming your way it seems TG{sm4} , Robin.

Exceptional pieces from TG this month! I have both versions of the Kurogane hopefully hitting my doorstep soon.

I agree, Robin. I would definitely pick-up both versions of the small bamboo huts if they are re-released.

Great stuff here! Excellent assortment of some beautiful pieces. The new Kurogane is definitely a must for Pacific collectors and I'm loving the new Matilda. Can't wait to see it in color. Those new wounded Japanese and fighting Australians look great (looking forward to see them available). I'm sure many will like the new Winter Hetzer as well.

All around solid line-up this month.

The new Ancient mat measures 9.6 inches by 8 inches (24cm by 20cm) so smaller than our traditional mats, its actually the same size as the USS Missouri mats we recently did.
Best Jack

I hope we’re getting the crew warming themselves by the Hetzer? Would make a nice scene with the winter mat.

Would be great to see a picture of the set you are referring to….

Also it would tremendous if you could redo Breakfast Club One (Winter) - someone filched mine to give to another collector - very bad form indeed, if you ask me.

We omitted the dimensions of the new Ancients mat in our last newsletter, for those of you with an interest in this product it measures 9.5 inches by 8 inches (24cm by 20cm) and is therefore slightly smaller than our normal aircraft diorama mats. There will be a new figure or even two to go with this mat in the near future, below are sculpt pictures of our snake charmer.
