October Dsipatches. (2 Viewers)

Dear All

Another great month for releases thru the ages but with more emphasis on WW2 this time but with something different on offer they say! All these releases will be here around the 20th of the month and without further ado please see below for what’s on offer:

French Foreign Legion Series

This month sees a swing in the direction of camp life away from the front line. However for those of you looking for some more action figures don’t worry, an MG set along with some more firing figures are due in December.

FFL008 Get down and give me 10! An unlucky Legionnaire is given the mandatory punishment throughout armies the world over for moving too slow – press-ups! Our A version Legionnaire wears the traditional white trousers with blue coat whilst the B version figure wears the red ‘winter’ issue trousers. Our shouting A version NCO giving the Legionnaire a hard time, wears the Kepi whilst the B version wears the Naval Pith hat with Legion flaming grenade badge attached. We have made 110 of each version available to cope with increased demand for this series.

Priced at $59/£50.

FFL009 Mounted Legionnaire: Mounted troops were used by the Legion to offer flanking protection for marching columns and to launch fast moving patrols. Officers sometimes had their own mounts but legionnaires could expect to be issued one at government expense! Our B version features an officer with Pith hat whilst the A version features a legionnaire wearing the traditional kepi.

120 of the B version Officer have been made and 150 of the B version are offered, after all you will need more Privates guarding your column than you will need officers! Priced at $79 or £59.

Legionnaires with mules and camels are expected at some time in 2014 so watch this space as they say!

FFL011 March or Die: The Legions unofficial motto and one they are rightly proud of! Legion training is extremely hard and these guys can march for miles if required. Our A version features the traditional Legionnaire marching with rifle and kepi whilst our B version wears the tropical pith hat.

We have made 100 sets of the A version, with 75 of the B version being made. We will be offering 2 Legionnaires per box to keep costs lower, after all its unlikely you are just going to buy 1 of each figure is it? There will also be a ‘C’ and ‘D’ version available in December for those wanting to make a decent size marching column. If demand requires it we will make a further 50 sets of the A version, please let us know?!

Priced at $69 for 2 figures or £50 in UK.

The Great War

GW015A Make mine a cold one!: Otto Kissenberth was one of a few German air aces who wore spectacles during WW1, this did not impede him in his aerial quest for 20 victories by the time the war ended. Kissenberth was known to have flown an Eindecker, Pfalz, Albatross and a Captured Sopwith Camel during his flying carer. We will be making one of these aircraft in a wooden format in the very near future but I will leave you to guess which one it is! Our little vignette shows Kissenberth downing a bottle of champagne after a ‘hard day at the office!’ The table and hat are included with this set and I must say it makes a very pleasing diorama all on its own! Kissenberth survived the war only to be killed in a climbing accident in 1919 at age 26?

Thanks to Al Coleman for his magnificent help researching this pilot and other aspects of WW1 aviation for us.

Priced at $39/£27.50 and limited to 100 in number, there will also be more aces to follow later on in the year.

GW015B: A quick change of heads and a new paint scheme and we have William ‘Willi’ Barker! One of the most highly decorated Canadian pilots of WW1, with 33 confirmed kills and several balloons to his tally. Barker was awarded the Victoria Cross, MC and DSO during his career in WW1 plus several other awards. The VC was awarded when during a dogfight flying a Sopwith Snipe, Barker was attacked by 15 German aircraft. Barker managed to shoot down 3 of the enemy planes and was wounded 4 times during this engagement before managing to make his escape. After the war he teamed up with fellow Canadian pilot Billy Bishop and the 2 went into business together. Unfortunately Barker never fully recovered from his wounds suffered during the VC dogfight and was plagued with the effects of these until his untimely death, at age 35 in a flying accident.

Priced at $39/£27.50 and also limited to 100 in number.

World War 2

LUFT009 German Luftwaffe ace Gerhard Homuth was one of the top scoring aces in the North African campaign with 60 plus kills to his credit.

Homuth also served on the Western front during the battle of France and Britain before he found fame in the Middle East. Following the Axis withdrawal from North Africa he was posted to the Eastern Front where he flew an FW 190. Homuth was awarded the Knights Cross at the young age of 26 yrs old, but was killed 2 yrs later in 1943 whilst serving in Russia. Our 2 man set comprises Homuth scanning a map for his next operation with an FJ soldier who seems to be taking a somewhat casual interest before heading for the canteen! Comes in 2 versions with the A version sporting European style uniforms and our B version wearing Tropical issue gear. Two more pilots will follow to accompany this vignette and will be available in the next month or so. Priced at $69/£50 and limited to 100 of each version worldwide!

V Series 008 Guard with Dog: Following a sell-out of the first issue security guard with dog, we have launched another version. This set comprises an all new guard kneeling down to pat his dog which seems to have spotted something in the distance! Our A version wears Luftwaffe style coat and cap whilst the B version comes in SS garb and helmet. Both are suitable for security duties either on the front line or at a launch site guarding our V Series weapons! Limited to 100 sets worldwide and priced at $39/£27.50

V Series 010 Guard with MG 42: A second guard to accompany our existing figures, this one carries some heavy back up in the form of an MG42!

Our A version is suitable for a summer campaign whilst the B figure is going to look more at home in a winter setting. Can be used within a BOB scenario or a winter V weapons launch site!

Priced at $35/£25 and limited to 100 of each available whilst stocks last.

V Series 012 BA64 Armoured Car: The Germans captured large amounts of Soviet armour and light vehicles during the initial phase of Operation Barbarossa, including the BA64 armoured car. As far as the German army was concerned, the BA64 was not suitable for frontline duty due to its light armour and poor armament, but was very useful for convoy protection duties, airfield security and in the anti-partisan role. Our version comes in a German field grey splash of paint and a half commander figure who can be removed if so desired.

Priced at $120/£79 and limited to 100 in number worldwide.

SOV003 B64 AC: When not in German hands these small lightly armed vehicles were used for reconnaissance duty right up until the end of the war by the Russian army and her allies. Our version comes in a very weathered green paint scheme, complete with rust streaks and a very handsome looking crew figure I must say!

Once again priced at $120/£79 and limited to 100 in number worldwide.

Rising Sun 001: Japanese Navy Type 2 Ka Mi Amphibious Tank! Switching now to the other side of the world and something totally unique not made to my knowledge in 1/30 scale before. The Ka Mi was based on the type 95 Ha Go light tank with major modifications that enabled it to travel on land as well as at sea. Whilst in the amphibious role, 2 large pontoons were fitted to the front and rear to enable floatation, these would be ditched when the tank hit dry land. The Ka Mi was armed with a 37mm cannon and 2 machine guns, on occasion 2 torpedoes could also be fitted to the sides! Our version comes in a Navy grey colour scheme and a half commander figure, with more Japanese figures and Allied troops to follow later next year! Priced at $125/£89 and limited to 100 in number worldwide

Club Figure 006: General Major Theodor Scherer earned his Knights Cross with Oakleaves at a village called Cholm on the Russian front in 1942. Along with 5,500 men he was trapped by a much larger Soviet force for a period of 107 days. Despite over 2000 assaults the Germans held out under Scherer’s command until relieved in May 1942. Only 1,200 men out of the original 5,500 remained fit for duty by the end of the siege. A commemorative battle shield similar to the Narvik shield was instituted for veterans after the siege.

Scherer survived the war only to be killed in a car accident in 1951.

This superb looking figure with Scherer sporting his beard and winter coat is available free to all customers who buy direct thru our website and spend $150 or more.

Apologies for any confusion but from the September releases the SS052 Lynx Tank has been labelled SS053 and ALH002B has been labelled ALH003 at our factory! Should not make too much difference to you the customer, but it sure caused an upset here!

Once again thank you for reading this and I will speak to you all in approximately 1 month’s time.

Kind Regards Vicki Lucas

What a really neat variety of releases. Naturally, I'm partial to the excellent WW1 pilot figures but I also am very impressed with the Japanese Amphib tank. TG goes where no man has gone before. Very interested to see what comes along in the future for the PTO. -- Al

Great Release! Love that Japanese Amphibious Tank. Is this just a "one-off" or is it the beginning of a limited Pacific War theme?

The dispatch says that the amphib tank will be followed by further Japanese and Allied troops later on. It appears TG is going to the PTO in an interesting way. -- Al

Thank heavens! Thanks for the heads up. I guess we'll be getting some British and Commonwealth troops.

I was taken by complete surprise with this PTO release, magnificent BTW, and the promise of further releases on this theatre next year! Placing an order immediatley for this plus the V-series guards and German captured vehicle. Congratulations to TGM again! {bravo}}

Nice release ! Never bought TG soldiers but I will. William Barker seems to me more interesting than the JJD figure of this ace. Is there someone to tell me if JJD and TG toysoldiers are compatibles ?

You copied my order for 100%( I already have the palm trees to go with the Japanese Type 2 tank, what I need now, - and we all do- are the troops from the Pacific)
guy:)

Nice releases but I think the detail on the MP40 that is being carried by the Jerry with the dog is pretty ordinary.

Tom

I love the dog releases. Those, among other items in this release, are 'must haves'!
