No one is really sure if it was the slow turret traverse, small ammunition load, slow loading two part ammo, lack of infantry support or just plain old overconfidence but Blowtorch's JS2 didn't make it far...:p:D

Great photo, makes you think what force must have been needed to do that, probably a gun with L70 in it's title...................Hope mine comes without that,

perhaps Andy's King Tigers and Volksturm might be more worried now in poor old Berlin..............might even kick that series on a bit, I liked it.

In the museum, the production JS-2 will be displayed next to that prototype, which Rick has generously donated for the museum collection.

Makes me think of an old PC game calle Close Combat 3

For those not familiar with it, it's a multi squad/tank game where you look down on the battlefield & see everything scurrying around like ants.

Well, it was late in '44 Poland, and I had two tanks escorting a platoon over a thin forrested landscape with some gentle hills.

I wasn't paying attention & the Tiger got out ahead of the group & made it over a hill & there was a JS2 sitting right there looking at it about 100 meters away.

Tiger fires first: 'DING'

JS2 fires second: Miss

Tiger fires again: 'DING'

This is when I heard the DINGS as my attention was fixed on another part of the battlefield. I scrolled over to the Tiger & saw it staring at a JS2. After crapping my pants I kicked the Panther into high gear & it started racing up this hill...

JS2 fires again: 'CRASH' & I start hearing screaming in German

Tiger is nonfunctional & crew wounded...Panther just almost at the top of the hill...

JS2 fires again: Miss

Panther is sitting next to disable Tiger & first shot brews the JS2

Blowtorch
Old game? Heck I am still playing it. They just revampred the Russian Front version. The King Tiger however, is the "Boss" of that game.

You're right though about the JS-2 in the game it isn't to be scoffed at, I like to hear the thunder of 122mm gun of the JS-2.

The Figarti JS-2 is going to be a welcome addtion to the 1/30 scale. Looks like Figarti will have to make a 1/30 Tiger I or Tiger II to match up against it.

wow, those games are considered classic now. i think nowadays the hip generation are playing modded versions of Company of Heroes, with their King Tigers, Pershings, Cromwell and such. looking at the graphics made me feel quite old and nostalgic indeed.

i'll like to reiterate, that this JS2 is a super piece, and i can quite imagine the collective groans of disappointment from most 1/30 armor collector, if this doesn't make it to production. like someone suggested, put a commie star on the side turret, and an mg, that'll enhance the tank and make it more sexy.

as for the 1/30 tiger 1, and tiger II, wow, just the mere thought was ecstasy inducing. if he did proceed, i hope rick will make more molds of that. i sincerely think that if figarti produce only 100 of them, it will be snapped up instantly by sincere collectors and ebay vultures alike. then the forum will be ablaze for 2 weeks (including me, if i missed out).

Dear Collectors,

Sorry it took so long to post some photos showing the releases at the Chicago Show. It has been non-stop and just now I found some time to post some photos. So here is the prototype of the JS 2 that survey (You) wanted, we WILL make it, hope you like it!
