I fear the days of the Old Guard maybe numbered :eek:

How many of you Napoleonic Collectors have collections of the Old Guard and lets see some of them.

Unfortunately, my Old Guard collection at the moment is limited to one solitary Grenadier holding his ground on the shelf:(. Still think it's a great range though, despite not having more.

I suppose if you're into the Napoleonic period at all, you just have to have the Guard represented somewhere - they're classic elite troops from the era.

Ron, I have a sneaking feeling that as THE French aficionado on the forum, your Guard ranks might be somewhat more swelled than mine, so if so, do post some pictures, it'd be great to see them!

Cheers,

Molloy.

In my opinion, I think the Collectors' Club first released Old Guard has a more correct uniform color and the tassel at the side of the bear skin cap has more details on it.

The regular releases of the Old guard had a dark blue colored uniform and seemed somewhat off to me.

So I am looking forward to First Legion's to be released soon Old Guards. They seemed to me the right shade of uniform color and very animated poses and facial gestures. If they turn out to be alright I may consider selling my K&C Old Guards... So watch out for my posts guys!

I am actually waiting on a delivery of a NEW CURIO CABINET - Today ! :D

Once that is in place - I plan to have them set in that cabinet with my new Russians ! ;)

Right now, I have my Old Guard spread out between three curio cabinets at home and in the office.

I wished Andy would make some OLD GUARD Firing Figures - it would look really cool IMHO

Yes - photos will be coming soon. I want to invite you (and others) to join our new NAPOLEONIC Social Club here on the forum - a great place to show all our Napoleonics from all makers.

Ron,

Glad you like it. One of them RHA gun ..is a Build A Rama piece. Its slightly larger than K&C's 6 pounder.

Opps - You are right it is larger isn't it

Eyes aren't what they use to be ;)

How are those Build A Rama Guns? I havent got any

I rather wish that K&C would offer their guns individually ... with different sets of gunners.

Well, I settle for just their guns alone.
