The KnC 001 plastic tank turned into a tank belonging to the 741st Tank Battalion in support of the 1st Infantry Div/16th Regimental Combat Team/E company on the 6th June on Omaha Beach.
The tank belongs to 741st T Bat /A company /Tank N°10,
It will end up stranded on the beach with troops hiding behind it ( see picture)
-I did a full repaint
-added new decals
-drilled out the gun barrel
-added a radio antenna
-gave the tank a full wading kit
-turned the tracks into rubber chevron block tracks
-gave the front air stack some extra support

Nicely done!

Some people have the talent and others wished they had it.

First Class conversion, Guy...Your work inspires me and I am sure other collectors....
Thankyou and happy collecting!
Andy.

Incredible work, Guy.
It makes me wonder what you might be able to accomplish with one of the KnC plastic Sherman; converting it into a Pacific WWII USMC tank ..? ^&confuse

Dear Larry, The pacific is not my theatre of war but I would give it a go, if I had some pictures of the real thing

well done Guy.😁👍 I like the colors.
I am curious how he will be placed in the Diorama.
I also used the KnC 001 plastic tank for my TARAWA diorama.
it is a beautiful tank that can be converted into a knock-out tank.
thanks for sharing 🙏🏼

Hi Harry, I will try to copy the photograph with the troops clinging to the tank for shelter and wading ashore ( tank stuck in the sand)

For the moment no progress on my diorama . I am missing a few very small items and paints and since all the shops are closed due to corona and I feel a bit stupid ordering 1 small paint jar via internet or just one small item (postage is more expensive than the item itself), I stopped working on the Omaha beach diorama for the moment ( could show some pictures of the progress I have made but I will wait until it is completely finished) So just to keep busy I accepted a paint job from a British friend. 3 K&C plastic Sherman tanks to be painted and pimped up.
All 3 will belong to the 746th Tank battalion that landed on D-day on Utah Beach. I have just finished the 1st tank . Here is a picture
I hope you'll like it
Guy:)
