On the Way to Victory - The T-34/85 (1 Viewer)

I have wanted a T-34/85 in proper 1/30 scale for years and First Legion has exceeded my expectations with their new LWG045 model. It is stunning! The paint work and weathering are well done and I love the faded green color (the tank appears “greener” in actuality compared to what’s seen in my photos). I love all the removable stowage and First Legion didn’t skimp on that, including two tow cables, folded tarp, unfolded tarp, 85mm ammo box, MG ammo box, logs, rucksack, smaller sack/canteen, and two bedrolls!

While I know some collectors have pointed out a few accuracy issues on this model, I still think First Legion knocked this one out of the park! Now if we could just get some more Soviet tanker figures (other than the retired RUSSTAL022 Russian Tank Commander), that would be awesome… Nevertheless, a very satisfied collector here

The latest First Legion tanks have been excellent and among my favorites from the recent slate of AFV releases across the various manufacturers. FL has definitely upped their quality and it’s good to see them back in the game in force.

Yes, I have also LWG045 and I am totally agree with the great quality of details, painting and weathering.
But, IMHO, it is really a shame that there are important accuracy issues on some FL tank models.
With a little more effort of historical research on markings and technical arrangements, these tank models would be perfect !!!!.

Here are some :

- Inconsistency with the Minsk July 1944 period : effectively, there are at least three technical arrangements that did not appear until 1945 (squared off front fenders, single bigger hatch of the commander's cupola and two separate ventilation domes on the turret roof).

- For a complete 1945 WWII version, the brackets and smoke canisters on the rear of the upper hull are missing.

- Except some very rare re-manufactured hulls from 76mm armed tanks, all T-34/85 must have
a pointed bow on the front hull and not a rounded one as the FL model.

I hope the snow in that dio is ok, seems a little too powdery for that tank considering its potential serial number and related factory production addresses.
