On Their Way To A Slaughter. (1 Viewer)

Talent or not, Michael has proven he is willing to try stuff he's never done before. Which is the key! Never be afraid of success or failure!:)
Mike

Thank you Mike, thank you John, thank you Mike,

You hit the nail on the head Mike,

"Talent or not"

I'll "stab" at something until it's dead, I'm persistent.

I certainly agree, and don't mind trying my hand at things. Everyone should

explore the limits of their skill at every opportunity. Once someone has

reached the abiltiy to turn a display into a piece of furniture most wives

wouldn't complain about.........thats talent!:D

You know John, you're right.

It's a rewarding sense of accomplishment,

when you try new things that look difficult or require a commitment, and you finish them.

We are not building space ships here, but a commitment is required to start and finish any job.

Michael:

That is what is so great about your thread, and all the "How To" threads in

general. They encourage people to try their hand which will only lead to a

further enjoyment of the hobby.

Great work and diorama Michael. Your collection is amazing and thanks for the photos and explanations. John

Great Diorama Michael! I think the water is excellent - The reflection and the Water Putty ripples look great.
Let us know about the trees when you get them!
Do you leave your dioramas on display? Dust problem?
Keep up the good work!

Pete

Thanks a lot John, thank you Pete,

Your "props" are always welcome.

Pete nobody else had mentioned those ripples, and while they were done by accident, I loved them and I will do the better now that I know how to do them.

The new trees are not going to work out. It was an older man building them and his health has diminished. I made about a dozen of my own, but I dunno, not the greatest.

The only two dioramas that stay out are the Zulus and Crusaders, that I posted a picture of earlier in this thread and had built tables for.

The rest I remove the figures, pack the trees, rock, etc... and save the terrain bases in the closets for future use. I'm getting quite a collection of terrains though, lol.

The holes from the trees, I put a dab of glue in and sprinkle some ground work over.

BAM~~~~~~~~~~~like brand new.

Finally, the river isn't really old enough to have much dust on it. It does get some loose ground work and other debris on it's surface, but the outside shell now is so hard and smooth that I just wipe or blow it off.

Hi Michael!
Not only do I enjoy your posts but also the speed at which you reply to posts from others! Keep it up.

Thank you Pete, thank you Scott, thank you Joe,

really appreciate the praise and the endorsement.

Scott, there were a lot of animals mentioned in your post.

Me, the guinea pig is funny.:D

Wasn't that a cereal commercial, "Give it to Mikey, he'll eat anything?"

That's my new dog Casey.

Male, 3 years old and he's a mini.

I just adopted him 2 weeks ago from the Houston Mini Schnauzer Rescue Center.

We are getting acclimated to each other.

He wants to be the Alpha male, but he has no idea how stubborn I am.

If it's a battle of wills, he doesn't stand a chance.

Thanks for the compliment on him.

Casey is the terror of the neighborhood, but a handsome loyal friend.

Welcome to the forum Casey. You should fit right in.
