Yeah I saw this mate its brilliant and might give one of your building a go cheers for posting

You've done a great job on your diorama Pat with the Germans making their way through the city and late refugees milling about and the house you modelled fit's in beautifully.
My favourite bit of your construction is the bridge over the stream with the little row boat. Excellent :salute::

Thanks steve-the houses were pretty simple to make. I used pink Insulation foam from Home depot and drew out and then cut out the house and glued together with foam glue. I used foam board to make the roof.

I got doll house windows on eBay, cut holes using an Exacto knife and scribed brickwork into the foam using a screw driver and straight edge

Tip-Home depot and every DIY store with paint departments can make you samples jars on every color they carry, usually for about $3.00. They also have this fine sand additive that gives a great stucco effect, but I also use it for desert or beach dioramas. I now use them almost exclusively for all my diorama painting, as most are acrylic, clean up or thin out with water, and you can build a whole range of colors for a very nominal cost
