Welcome to the forum and what a great post. Very nice collection of figures you have. Can I ask what make are they?

Welcome to VID ... that's a nice collection of troops and very well laid out battle going on.

Thank you for sharing & Looking forward for more.

Lovely display, I particularly like the artilleryman closest on the left, he looks very happy that he's about to blow away a cuirassier and his horse into the middle of next week!!

Very cool terrain construction and figure placement. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

VID,
Very Nice! Lots of action and the guns going off! Love that gunsmoke! What is your secret. Must echo a big welcome to this wonderful forum:)
Mike

Yes, VID, well done, I like the way you composed the scene, and you show dense action, without it being so busy that we can't see the individual actions (like the cannoneer and cuirassier Cornwallis noted).

Welcome to the forum, prosit!

Very nice looking diorama and collection. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us and welcome to the forum. Mike

Thats one great set up! Are those miniwelt figures? They look real nice. Wecome to the forum.

Ah, MiniWelt! Those are excellent figures. He made quite a splash, when the line first came out, a very extensive catalog of Frederick the Great's army. You could model every infantry regiment, and almost all of the commanding generals, as well as Old Fritz himself, both as foot and as a mounted figure. Then the Napoleonic line came out and it has eclipsed the earlier line.

Did you paint these yourself? They're very well-done.

Prost!

Hi, Fub, you can try here:

http://www.zinnfigur.com/

That is the gateway page for Hans-Günther Scholtz's Berliner Zinnfiguren; don't worry, there is a choice for English on that page. Then choose "Round Figures", and once you transition to that page, choose Miniwelt in the scrolling menu. The Napoleonics are listed in the 60mm catalog, though they and the Seven Years War Prussians are really of the same scale.

Scholtz was at one time the only vendor selling MiniWelt, but there may be others by now. Also, the gentleman who produces the line used to sell them on eBay as well, but I haven't seen his auctions there, in a while.

Scholtz sells the figures as kits, but also offers a painting service.

I can recommend the figures, they are exceptionally well-sculpted and paint up beautifully (as we see here in VID's diorama).

The only caution is with the mounted figures. I have a Prussian ADC, and the weight of the figure and the horse's body caused the legs to bend a little. If I were to start with a new kit, I would rout out grooves in the legs, reinforce them with brass rod, and putty them over.

Prosit!
Brad

Wow! Position a figure of Pierre from War and Peace with the battery and you have a literature project. Thanks for posting the photos.

Just a "doodle" compared to your diorama/

This is an excellent example of why I love reading this Forum. MiniWelt, is an entire line of 54mm figures for both Fredercik the Great and Napoleonic soldiers that I had no idea even existed. I am always amazes seeing the extentive range of toy soldier knowledge that is shared with other members.

Thank you.
