This must have been discussed in the past but, I think it is a good time to resurface it...

How many of you prefer to maintain a collection that is exclusive to one:

1) Manufacturer
Several manufacturers - prefer variety than consistency in my collection

2) Size or Scale
54mm to 65mm - although this may change as I am investigating 28mm in keeping with my variety preference :smile2:

3) Painting Style (i.e. Matte or Glossy)
Both ^&cool

4) Type of Material (i.e. Metal or Plastic)
Both - plastic is mainly Britains swoppets from the 60's and professionally painted plastic of various makers, one-color plastic does not appeal to me... {eek3}

My answers in bold... Have a good day! {sm4}

Heres my outlook

1)Manufacturer

Primarily just one although I have a Beau Geste set (that I won) and a couple of Asset castings I painted myself)

2)Scale

The usual 54mm - 58mm scale put out by my manufacturer (William Britain)

3)Painting Style

Matte and Gloss it's all good :)

4)Type of Material

Metal or plastic again it is all good and show the variety of this particular manufacturer over the last 100+ years.

Manufacturerer. Can be more than one if they "fit"together"
Scale.54mm but may be changing to 40mm
Painting style.Matte
Type of Material.Metal,Resin

I am always interested in several manufacturers, although I now have one that is my priority. I don't try to mix and match although several WWI glossy figures being compatible has helped my WWI collection. No scale preference at all, 54mm to 60mm speaking, not smaller unless we're talking warbirds or tanks, which I like in the 1/72 scale.
Matte or gloss, I like them both when they appeal to me.
I don't collect plastics, but never say never, if I had a the chance I'd keep collecting Britains Deetail.

Gentle Friends,

My collecting preferences and habits are summarized below:

1. Manufacturer

I am drawn toward many manufacturers. However, in recent years, most of my purchases have remained within certain theme/era lines. Consequently, for my Delhi Durbar collection I have purchased products manufactured by Beau Geste, W. Britains, William Hocker, and Marlborough. I have exclusively purchased figures produced by Monarch Regalia for my Samurai collection, and I have purchased Ancient Egyptian figures produced by King and Country.

2. Size or Scale

Almost my entire collection consists of figures in the 54mm to 60mm range.

3. Painting Style

I collect both matte and glossy finished figures. However, my collecting preferences have resulted in a much larger glossy collection than a matte one.

4. Type of Material

Metal and Polyresin. I have an interest in the Britains Deetail figures, but I have not pursued it due to budget limitations.

If you have any questions about the responses I have provided above, please feel free to ask them.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :smile2:
