I kinda feel dumb asking this. These figures can be used in France Normandy? I should no this but I believe they can just wanted to hear it from someone else.

I hope so.Since i visited Merville battery and Pegasus Bridge in Normandy in 07 i have wondered the very same thing as a Merville dio would be awsome.I can't imagine the uniform would have varied that much between Normandy and Arnhem???.

No I wouldn't think they would in just 3 4 months but just had to ask. :D I better get back to reading.

I think the main difference may have been in equipt and weapons,i think the Merville paras had mine clearance stuff to deal with the fields around the bunkers and blockhouses.I remember at Merville they have a museum with a tv interview of one of the Paras. He said that once he arrived at the complex he saw all hell break loose as Paras and Germans engaged in a firefight in and around the bunkers. He said seeing the explosions and yells and screams of the wounded he charged straight at a bunker firing his Sten from the hip and yelling;,B******,B******,B******'S!!:eek:

Here is some info on the Denison smocks

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denison_smock

The article is unclear when in 1944 the the first pattern smock was replaced by the second pattern.

Here is another site with various color pictures of british kit.
