It is January 1945, the Battle for Berlin is imminent. The city is shattered and bears the scars of heavy allied bombing. Yet worse is still to come.

There is movement amongst the ruins

Taking a break from planning his next military masterstroke, a broken man moves from the safety of his bunker

He stares out at the city, deep in thought. When will the Russians launch their attack? Will they even dare to try and take Berlin?

The weather begins to turns, but still he remains pondering his next move

Eventually he heads back to the dark corridors of his bunker.

He doesn't realise, but this will be the last winter he sees.

Figure from Open Fire Figures.

Cheers

Very good Adam, this figure is certainly time appropriate April 1945. The falling snow is very effective. It must be a thrill to know that any figure you desire, you can produce to your heart's content. Looking forward to your fresh stories on the forum. :salute::, Robin.

Cheers Robin,

Recently read Anthony Beevors "Berlin" and watched the excellent Downfall.

Both inspired this figure.

I know it didn't snow during the the last few days of his life, but I wanted a figure from this last few winter months.

And yes... It's nice to be able to make what you want, but it's also a curse.... Too many ideas!
