Seeing this makes me sad.
Nick and I started our businesses around the same time in the late 1990's, we both started out selling plastics, I branched out into matte finished metal, Nick began his own line of figures, buildings and playsets. IMO, Nick was the smart one as far as the paths both of our businesses took.
We both flourished and became friends, I will never forget out time together at OTSN/The Chicago show, I used to go to Nick and DeAnna's room on Friday night and we'd have some adult beverages and a million laughs. They were set up across the aisle from me on Sunday, we'd bust each other up with comedy all day long on Sunday as we were all on fumes by then.
It saddened me when is health prohibited him from coming to the show any longer, now he sold his business and DeAnna will no longer be across the aisle from me on Sundays at the show.
In the end, I am glad for the two of them, they found a buyer for their business and can now retire and enjoy life, it's the ultimate dream...………......start a toy soldier business, have it become successful, then sell it and retire and enjoy life.
I wish the two of them all the best, they are important people in my life and I am proud to call both of them friends...……………….love you guys...………...:salute::
