I read a post somewhere that the original K and C Civil War The Burnside Bridge stuff was a bit of a flop. Is this true or am I misinformed. From what I remeber they were very good.

From talking to a dealer friend of mine, he said the problem was that most collectors were 54mm so that the bigger K & C variety didn't strike a chord with collectors.

I don't have any ACW but I did buy the bridge and use it with WW II.

I quite liked them. I have mixed them and they seem ok to me

That's not the original K&C Civil War, what you are talking about is Andy's second effort. Original K&C Civil War were glossy 54mm figures that were very reminicent of certain plastic Civil War figures available at that time.

Here's a link to the ACW King and Country 1988 Brochure. By the way, they're very expensive in the aftermarket and ebay because they seldom appear.

Roger that Louis. I realize that the originals were teh glossy ones. Didn't mean to create any confusion. I was referring to the 1998/99 stuff.

I like 'em. Come to think of it, I never met a glossy soldier that I did not like. :D

I've never had to much trouble mixing up the various fig's.
In real life there are tall guys, short guys, thin guys, thick guys,..etc all in the same comp. Life is a mix (kind like a box a chocolates??).
My orig' Waterloo display had K.C., Brits.,Frt.Ln., Wil.King,ANI,Trophy..all mixed in together.
Keep 130 matt to the front 132 and glossy to the back(where it can pick up the light). No one can really see the differance at first.
Not until they get up close and almost stick their noses into it.
However, K&C has now pretty much forced every body else out.
