i am not sure about the scale of oryon collection soldiers they claim to be 1/35 scale but dont look to be very close to the tamiya 1/35 scale soldiers and vehicles but rather close to the forces of valor in 1/32 scale am i wrong??!!

Hi Stefano,

There is toy soldier shop in my town, and they have many Oryon WW2 sets that I have looked over, and yes, I agee about the figure scale. They appear to be much closer to FOV or Frontline sized WW2 figures, as opposed to the 1/35 scale they are noted as being. I may be wrong, but that was my lasting impression. I hope this helps!

It depends on which range. The civil war and Napoleonic ranges are closer to 1/30. I understand the WWII ranges are closer to 1/32 or smaller.

I was surprised by the way these figures measured up to other 54mm figs I have. Do not get me wrong, they are great figures I was just expecting them to be one of the larger figs of my collection not some of the med to small ones.

Again it depends on which ranges. They are some of the larger figures in my collection, almost as tall as K&C but better proportioned.

Stefano,

I have posted some photos below I took some while back that compared K&C and the Oryon Collection in size.

Hope this helps.

Those are great photos Darrel. One thing I think they show particularly well is how thick the Oryon bases are. They are at least 2mm thicker than K&C or First Legion for example, which make them apear even taller than they are. Overall though they look pretty good together to me.

I regret that it is out of business, I have your Union cavalry was interested in future releases of General Custer and American Civil War:(
