;) I know ORYON Company was making ONLY 1/35th Scale, but they were the Best WW2 Looking Figure's, that I have ever seen, in my Lifetime 30-Years Collecting WW2 Toy Soldiers! I know that ORYON Company, has been Sold? I would have like to see these Sculpture's, made them in the 1/30th Scale? They're were Beautiful and Realistic Uniformed Action Pose Figure's! Andy, Please take a Look at them? Suggestion!

Those figures tanked, dealers couldn't give them away; why in the world would anyone want to redo them in 1/30th scale.

Honest to God......

John,

This doesn't belong in the K & C thread so I moved it.

Substantively, I've seen the figures and don't think they're as good as you say they are.

Here is one of Oryon's ACW figures. UKREB spoke very highly of these Italian made figures on the forum last year, especially their attention to detail (e.g. fingernails). His only complaint was the plain round bases.

Well £12.00 for a set of four WW2 figures I think there great & go well with Dragon armour

Hello! ;) Take a Look at the ORYON, TOBRUK and the Desert Rat Sets, aslo Ramcke's Brigade! And a Few More Fallschrimjager ORYON Sets! The Uniforms are really done well! CIAO! "Are you talkin to me"? OO0H! :D

I have about 20 of their Napoleonic figures which are more of a 1/30 scale.
I picked up all of my sets on sale for about $11.00 a figure. I prefer my K&C Napoleonics, but Oryon had a nice style and the ACW figures look great.

And the company is now out of business..................

Yes, if it was great as some say it was, why did it fail?

Don't you guys think you are being a little heavy handed with this response? True, the stuff did not sell well and the company is out of business, but.....a guy ought to be able to express an opinion without being ridiculed after all.

MD, I didn't say much on the other thread but the 1/35 scale WWII figures I bought at heavily discounted prices in hindsight were in all honesty not worth me keeping. That said it seems that it depends what Oryon figures each member had as based on the photos and comments I have noted on this forum some of the other figures, such as the Napoleonic range, were larger and better quality than the WWII figs I purchased.

MD,

I wasn't trying to riducule his opinion, just observing that if they were that good, why did they go out of business? One would think that the contrary would have been the case. Moreover, I have seen them and wasn't that impressed.

Well I don't know anything about there 1/35 scale figures, but it is an odd scale that could have something to do with the lack of popularity. I do agree that their larger 1/30 figures are rather nice. I have a number of their Napoleonics which I think are actually better than K&C, understanding that opinions can differ. The bases are pretty useless and apart from being ugly are much too thick. I think their lack of consistent production of any line and limited variety may have also had something to do with their demise. I can't see it was the lack of quality of their figures.

FWIW, many companies with a good product fail, just as many with a mediocre product muddle on.

Pick another company that had mold in preorder? The figures of the scale 1 / 30 sculptures were better, I have three Union Cavalry figures.
