Hey, do not be scared, but... as I know K&C like to produce german figures (you know the little men with sigruns and so), do you think we can await a Baader-Meinhoff line next year? (Jesus, I am very sorry, forgive me, but I do not see any interesting new K&C line over the last 12 months, also not - Ok, the add-on Brit.Waterloo Guards are an good idea - really interesting aditions to existing lines - OK, two or three of the new crusaders are very fine! - but I think: where is the spirit gone?
As I said before: Guys, sorry for my hard words, but this is my opinion. Collectors Showcase: Dunford's Carabiners!! Brit. Gun team!
First Legion: Best Napos forever! Whole Regiments in realistic poses!
Heritage: Good WWI stuff (german gun and limber, 6 horses and so, a project K&C would not do - so the smaller companies are much more interesting than the big one).

Baader Meinhof is an interesting one:D Perhaps we could have a revolutionary line: Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Kamenev, Stalin (let's throw in Kerensky in there too). The possibilities are endless:rolleyes:

Hello Carlos,

Nice pics thanks. For sure this series is wonderful one, really nice figurines that can go along with others desert scenarios. I have been looking for nativity for a wild and now it is just there. Just beautiful.

Rod.

I think today is going to be one of those days when the baby Jesus and I dont get along.

Hans, I would bet you are in the minority with the above statement.

As I said, Jesus may forgive me, but - beleave me, I am an extrem toy soldier freak! - we all  should have sometimes an ironic view on what we are dealing with... What I aspect is, by example, a English Civil War line, Cromwells horsemen and so. But I am sure to see it in the next years from CS, FL or Britains.
Perhaps I have my european point as well (and we european, I am a german, do not buy Cowboys and Indians, and I think do spent our money for Napos, WWII and other "real" toy soldiers).

Personally, I have absolutely NO interest in the "Life of Jesus" line and really do not understand why K & C is producing it at all. Especially when there are PLENTY of good ideas relating to toy SOLDIERS that have not been realized yet. But thats just me.

I would think that it's a good way to introduce new blood to the hobby.

Would also be a great way to get collectors wives into the hobby.

Not everyone collects WWII so I think it is a touch of genius to bring out something unique. Personally for me it maybe the series that actually gets me to buy K&C items.

Absolutely. New lines for new collectors. Look how successful the Streets of Old Hong Kong series is. And with Figarti upping the frequency of production, and with many WW2 collectors able to afford only 1 or 2 AFVs each month, one way to increase the size of the pie is to add new non WW2 lines.

Sure! Your arguments are very clear! And I know that a series like "Jesus" is not far away from what K/C did in the past, and this is OK!! - But I am only a TOY SOLDIER collector, and as Doughboy wrote, there a many intersting (for me! For toy SOLDIER Freaks!) ideas to be realized! As a long time K/C buyer and collector (WWII, 1776 - my very first 54mm figures are from K/C, the Brit Infantry, wondeful!) I would aspect from THIS BIG Company the leading spirit! - Now I like it what CS and FL are doing: leading to new highs in quality, spirit, sometime extravagance, makes-me-felling-"wow-how-great-is-this?!?!" - you know, what I mean?
Another member of this forum wrote me the same some minutes ago about his feelings and personal history, is very near to mine.
So, I love K/C for their "breaking" the rules what a toy soldier can be, they have done a great job! An important job for all of us! I will resepect K/C ever for this.
But it is the past I am thinking of.

(sorry for my not so brilliant english)

Doughboy, thats fine...
I will buy it if for no other reason than I BELIEVE!
Throw in K&C is the best of a hobby I love and it's the best of all things for me.
I look forward to Andy's sculpt of the grown Jesus and with great trepidation to the last chapter....I know how this story ends and it pains me still...

I think K&C can release whatever they want but ultimately its the consumer that determines what will be a business success. Issuing a non toy soldier line is not new for them so they are not setting any precedents here. I know this particular forum's focus is military miniatures however K&C as a business is striking out in different areas and markets to stay strong and so I commend the business strategy here. Personally I think the line will do well because of its versatility across their exisiting lines and the mass appeal and market of Christianity is far greater than our niche military interests.

It is wise to diversify your product line and I think this new line will be a winner for K & C. It will appeal to large portion of the general public and collectors after scenery for desert warfare displays. After all, the Department 56 'Little Town of Bethlehem' range has been popular hasn't it ;)

Well said Oz..:)

As a born again Christian.....I am in favor of anything which may stimulate faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.......Most Christians already have Nativity scenes....myself included....a little surprising and unusual that K/C has chosen this subject......Maybe Andy is born again.....:)

I think "he was born ok the first time!"

Capitalism has sponsored religions for thousands of years why not let the toy soldier companies make money off religion as well.

Actually, most of the proceeds will be donated to charity.
