OTSN - KC Sand Pebbles USMC Figures GREAT! (1 Viewer)

Rob,
That's the first thing I thought of as well...maybe planes and a navy blue jeep:rolleyes:

The jeep would be great but I think USN vehicles at the time of Pearl Harbor were painted grey.

You really should stop coming up with these dio ideas Rob your going to make me skint lol to many great things already on my wish list & i think your dio idea for Pearl Harbour might just of been added to the bottom of that list lol

Sorry mate!;):D

I don't collect this line, although I loved the movie. Still, I got to see the figures in person for the first time last week, and they are very very nice looking. I will probably pick up one or two sometime.

Those Marines really look good. With the Lighthorse KC is still going strong. Also liked the sailor on the boat.

Yet another range I'm adding on!:cool::D;) Will the boat be a regular release?

Andy told me the boat would be available - at least I think he said that while we were talking about his mini-sub in front of the harbour dio Sunday morning. I was more focused on the mini-sub which I think he said will be a limited edition. I don't know if the small gunboat will be a regular or limited edition. No release date or price was mentioned for the gunboat. Andy said he would like to keep the mini-sub under $200.

Andy said he would like to keep the mini-sub under $200.

Terry[/QUOTE]

That would be very reasonable.
Mark

The sub will be a SL and he said he would like to keep it around $200. However, that remains to be seen.

I love both the marines and the gunboat, and as someone who has purchased all the US Navy figures and a good deal of the Streets of Hong Kong figures I imagine I'll be getting them as well.

I've mentioned this before, but will K&C be producing anyone for the Navy or Marines to, well, shoot at?

Great figures. Is the one Marine leaning on a Lewis gun ? I thought the USMC used BARs not Lewis guns. Any Marine experts out there ?

4th Hussar:

There are pictures and accounts of Marines overseas at the time, with many different weapons. The B.A.R. ws the "official weapon of issue and choice", but sometimes they were scarce and others were "procurred" by any means necessary........................Stryker

I'm already thinking about combining some of these Marines with several 1917 Germans for a Bellau Wood dio.

The jeep would be great but I think USN vehicles at the time of Pearl Harbor were painted grey.

Yes, you are correct PB, I was thinking of a Measure 50 grey which has a blue tint, but I believe they used a straight Med. Grey., though I'm not sure when that was instituted, this would be pre-war paint for Pearl if your thinking Dec.41' as I was. I might be inclined to use a little "artistic license" and put a blue tint on that mule.

What about more sailors? Did anybody see or hear about any more sailors or the USS Peublo Ship? I would be curious to know about those two items.
