OTSN Room Reservations (1 Viewer)

Today I went to reserve my room for this years OTSN. I always stay at the LaQuinta a few blocks away. Well for 2 of the 3 nights the rate tripled and one night the rate doubled from last year. I called to verify that and was advised that there is some large event happening in Schaumburg on those dates, that was the reason for the price hike. I then checked another hotel where a friend usually stays and there was no rooms available.
I was still able to book a room at the Hyatt thru the OTSN website.
Just a heads up that if you are thinking of attending this year I would not wait to long to find a room.
Happy ending tho to my story. I called LaQuinta back and I had enough points on my Laquinta account that I can stay all 3 nights for a grand total of $15 plus tax!!!

I booked my room at the Hyatt Friday. I got three days show rate. ($109.00). I am lazy this year and did not stay at La Quinta but the hotel is easy to run to your room and back. I been doing this for a few years. Anyone make the Indy Show? J

Thanks for the heads up Gary. I checked with the hotel I usually stay at and they were already completely booked. Just made a reservation at the Hyatt. It will be me and my 9 and 7 year old this year. Figured it best to stay on sight with the young ones. Never stayed at the Hyatt before, hopefully they have a decent pool for the kids.

I make mine before I leave (I think it was Gary who gave me that advice several years ago) so I'm all booked at the Hyatt.

Thanks to Jazz(Brad) for the heads up. I usually stay at the Springhill Suites down the street and it was booked, I tried my Platinum override and they gave me a ridiculous rate but a room. I then looked at the Marriot across the way by the mall. NO issue and all booked. So, I have to walk a bit but I could use the exercise! Again thanks for the heads up.

I just made reservations at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg (Show Base of Operations). They still have double bed rooms available for the OTSN rate of $109.00 per night not including tax. I look forward to a great show and visiting with "The Usual Suspects" and of course some new characters as well.
