Hi Brad,

Excellent site! I already found a book and its on its way to me!

I'm bringing this up again as it might be of interest.

Hi Brad,

Great link as usual!

There are some very interesting books on this list! I hope that Czech Legion pops in and sees it since book number 440 is a good one on the Siberian escapade.

All the best

Dave

Harvey,

There's a guy in Conn who can probably get it for you. I received one of the Jean Paul Pallud books from him. I'll call you.

Try RZM.com.They have a large military book selection. They also carry his other books. I believe I saw this book listed on this web site.
Good luck.

Here is another link for Aviation & Military books from a chap out here in the Southwest. I have been buying books from him since 1990 and he often has the rare & unusual to boot! Happy hunting...

Another really good site to locate books is www.bookfinder.com. Over the years I've found many out of print books at great prices. All they do is list what is available from many sources--both new and used. My last buy using this source was a new copy of an out-of-print book for .01 cent plus postage of $3.99.

I bought a copy of the Russian Primary Chronicle for $100 at Abebooks
I'd previously (same day) seen a copy on Amazon for £850
seemed a bargain to me

One of my main periods of collecting is the Birth of the British Army, from the Restoration to the end of the century. My aim is to have at least 1 figure of every regiment of Foot and Horse in my collection. I’m looking for good source material.
I have Col Walton’s History of The Standing Army, CP Lawson’s History, assorted Bill Carmen works and a copy of Military Memoirs (I know its thought of as a book about the Great Lord Perborogh but it contains the description of Douglas’ death).

I don’t want Fortescue’s 20 volumes – might take a single volume or 2 specific to the period – also the last set of Fortescue I was offered was £3000, a lot for 1 2 volumes

Any suggestions for what I should be looking for

If it's uniform information you are looking for then DP&G, PO Box186, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN40HN have republished all the Dress Regulations from 1822 through to 1934. They also produce a lot of books on artillery and equipment plus reproductions of military postcards by Harry Payne, Ibbotson, and Holloway including the full set of History and Tradition cards. In addition they have a massive archive of photographs. You will find it useful to contact them for their full listing. They are extremely helpful.

Bob.

I used to buy the Military Hobbies Mag that you used to contribute to, that was a few years ago now!

I can remember that there was a range of uniform books by Liliane & Fred Funcken that may be of some use.

Regards

Jeff
