Hi Folks,
Here is the first of two new dio's I made about the battle of the bulge.
all figures have been repainted and weathered .
Clervaux-Luxemburg
On the 16th of dec 1944 early morning, the 2nd panzer div crossed the river Our and the river Clerf, preparing to attack the city of Clervaux.Clervaux was defended by Colonel Hurley Fuller and his 110th US inf.reg.combat team/28th inf div.The attack on the city began on the 17th. Around noon, the city was surrounded.By nightfall the Germans had cleared all US opposition in Clervaux.Fuller asked for reinforcements to launch a counter attack on the village of Manarch. The attack failed. The Germans had now to be stopped at Clervaux.

The scene depicts 2GI's belonging to the 28th inf div.( "The Keystone Div", knicknamed by the Germans " The Bloody Bucket Div"), entering a barn on the road leading from Marnarch to Clervaux. They have just silenced a German forward artillery observer. For him it is over and out

Well done, Guy! Excellent sense of drama in this vignette, and of course great job on the repaints.
