Looking round the Modelzone in High Holborn, Central London this afternoon, I noticed they had some of the new British 1916 WWI figures available. They had got some of the figures on ladders but, as yet, no trench segments. Figures looked very nice. Nice timeing for the approaching 96th Anniversary on July1st.

I recieved my order of these sets a few days ago :) overall they are looking great and the NCO and private climbing the ladder is currently fitting in well in my artillery emplacement trench until the new trench sets are released :p
however i have noticed that although the paint jobs on them are top quality as usual i couldnt help but notice that the bases are not quite quite up the standard as the previous ww1 releases. the paint seems a little rushed, the grass patches and the boots of the priviate climbing the ladder don't seem to have be molded as well as i had hoped.
overall great sets and cannot wait to get my hands on the others :D

would be interested to know if anyone else had the same base issues as me

cheers
