Sorry you misread what I stated. The ambulance will be equipment grey for 1879. The wagons were changed to khaki drab in the 1880s and green in the early twentieth century.
The Red Cross was added in the two locations, the canvas top and the second panel of the wooden body, and that did indeed add some time in production before they could be packaged.
I feel this was an important detail to omit to meet any delivery dates.
Thank you for your patience in advance,
Ken
Is it just me or should First Gear/wbritains not be looking to hire an operations type guy. Leave the creative side to Ken but someone needs to get this house in order. Imagine if K&C august releases came out in October.

I don't recall seeing any published catalogs by quarters from other manufacturers so we cannot make a direct comparison. If I did away with the catalog and went to monthly releases you would have no idea if any products were delayed or came in early. I have no plans on abandoning the printed catalogs in the future, they are a great record of what is made and also allow collectors to budget.
I also believe that we reserve the right to improve the products after production samples are delivered, even if it might move the delivery date.

I for one applaud Britain's delaying a release in pursuit of historical accuracy, especially a collection center piece that this ambulance promises to be.
Some OTHER makers out there might actually benefit by slowing down those monthly releases, and spend a little more time doing some proper research.
Personally, I think the other TS companies are smart for not exposing themselves to production delay scrutiny as it is very frustrating to collectors. Maybe getting rid of the catalogue would not be a bad idea after all for Britains. I am not sure how these catalogues help customers budget when expected release dates are so erratic. If you are expecting an ambulance in August and it comes in October how is that helpful.
