Really wonderful tartan and trews design!!!!I'm a great fan of scottish soldiers, let's say it's an incentive to buy the soldier if it has a kilt or something scottish on it (so i didn't partake with the critics made on Andy some time ago for making too many scottish soldiers..) , but i must say it's the best trews and kilt design i've seen on toy soldiers!

Now i hope to complete the Highlanders line and then wait for Irish picquets and Royal Ecossois...but i hope there are more Scots in store for us!!!!

I recently got me a good book about the Battle of Culloden from ebay. It is "Like Hungry Wolfes, Culloden Moor 16 April 1746" by Stuart Reid with some color plates by Gerry Embleton. Publisher is Windrow & Greene Ltd.
ISBN 1-85915-080-2
A great book with beautiful color plates.
Made some photos of them so we can see what fine figures might be coming up in John's great new line.
Here they are

And a few more pictures from the book.
That new line has a great potential for very attractive figures in my opinion.

I'm waiting too for the standard bearer and the officer..Lancer , i see that the flag looks very heavy..there is some problem about this?About the battle i reccomend the 1964 documentary "Culloden" by Peter Watkins (BBC) ..really ahead of his times and outstanding.

I had a hell of a time with the flag bearer from the BM-03 set who fell over because the flag was too heavy. No problem with the Jacobite flag bearer. Whatever the problem was it appears to have been solved.

I recently received all six currently available Highland figures and they are truly remarkable. The poses and detail bring these soldiers to life in a way that few others can match. The Highland officer is one of my all-time favorites. The unique quality and charm that defines and distinguishes Jenkins's art from the rest has never been more evident. Jenkins has outdone even himself.

Montcalm welcome to the forum. They are remarkable. I think we're all on the edge of our seat waiting to see what is released this month.
