Here's a GMP Pacific P-40 with ground crew. All the talk about the new K&C warbirds got my interest in getting out some of my old diecast planes.

Very nice looking P-40. I have heard good things about GMP. The gear is retractible like the Corgi 1/32s, right? I also take it you have had no Zinc pest issues?

Great dio of a famous aircraft. The P-40 was, IMO, the best looking fighter the U.S. produced. It just looked the part. -- lancer

Thanks guys for the comments.

Spitfrnd... to answer your question, the landing gear is retractable. The plane is also 1/35 scale... a little smaller than Corgi. What do you mean by Zinc pest issues?

In post #55 of the Cheaper K&C Aircraft thread it was mentioned that someone had reported zinc rot or pest (a progressive metal deterioration) in a GMP P-51. http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16083
I have yet to see that confirmed and never heard of the problem for larger scale diecast aircraft.

Hi wwiibuff,

Thanks very much for sharing the P-40 from your collection.

The guys working overnight on the eve of Midway ?

Your diorama material is certainly very versatile.

Great "black" drop.;)

Happy Weekend, Raymond.:)
