Here are a few photos of some plastic customizing that I have been doing for a forum member. This first group is a USMC 60mm mortar team running - obviously inspired by the dash across the Peleliu airfield in "The Pacific".

The next one is also inspired by "The Pacific" - every needs a John Basilone figure!

The next one is "hell on the beach" with casualties (note the bandage flying out of the corpsman's hand as he gets hit).

Here is a couple guys with a "lunge mine" - an antitank charge on a pole. When you don't have enough AT guns, but have willing men...

This is a working in progress. Another Japanese machine gunner. He needs more scenery and some sandbags on his base.

Gary:

These might be some of your best conversion to date. They look great!

Carlos

I,m the lucky customer!
Gary does just outstanding work, as I told him, I look forward to his stuff more than any other toy soldier release by any company.
Gary

These are most impressive. Are they going to left as is or painted???

GK prefers his figures in a monotone color to match commercial figures as closely as possible, so that is the end finish. I'm certainly capable of painting them, but I deliver what the customer wants.

Gary B.

By the way, the Amtrac I used for the background is a BMC plastic version, but I did modify the armament. The factory gun pattern is right for most LVT2s, but I wanted one with two front mounts so I added new mounting points. The .50 cal is an old MPC item.

great conversions binder, these are great.
now we just need to see them painted *hint*hint*;)

Those conversions are excellent. The John Basilone figure is right on.
What brand figures are those?

Walt

Whoa Gary, those soldiers look great. Makes me want to buy plastics and really play with them. Bang. Pow. Kaboom.

Mr Binder
These Conversions of Yours Are Really Excellent.
Everytime I Think That I Have Done Some Good Ones, I See
These Imaginative Masterpieces That You Make.
I Will Copy Some Of Your Poses For
An Oversized Pacific Diorama That I Am Building.
Thank You Very Much For the Pictures.

Jeepers those are nice. My father in Law (USMC Korea) is involved with the John Basilone veterans post down in New Jersey so I was aware of him. The figure pose looks like the paintings and statue of Basilone.

Wow!!! Some cool stuf. I like the Japanese in the fighting holes. Good job.
